Anyway when I hear men talk about it I wonder if they even have had an ONS or hookup, or if they’re going for women who are more into it because most of my circle isn’t like that. I think the people are legit. Convos, conflicts, etc. Of course the "true survival" factor is gone because they can exit the challenge anytime they want. Also there are cameras on them in the day time (they are left alone at night with a personal camera and the guards). Still their is the remaining example that those that work together do better, even if it is a "safety netted" survival scenario.

True they do edit and I have seen some of these strategies you mentioned. In the end though, I have a pretty good knack for spotting when they do it. The most that they do that I have noticed is attempting to make things "more dramatic". Aside from that, people get injured, broken bones, wounds that require stitches from the medic, 986209380935 bug bites, cardiac problems, burns, etc. etc.

It seems real to me. They get injured and shit all the time. One lady caught a disease that permanently put her in the hospital and there are vids of people after their journey with hair falling out in big clumps from starving. The only fake part I have seen in the show is when they edit a lurking panther at night to show the viewer what "would be a potential threat" if the guard was away. I was listening to it on the radio, the company has already been caught, I forget all the specifics but it was a tie between pharma and government regulations in Florida. Basically one guy could go and get several prescriptions for the same drug, have it all filled by different pharmacies, drive it up the east coast and make it into heroin. You're right, only some women take it to the extreme of spending hours a day on their makeup or go to the extents of having plastic surgery. However the question is what are the roots of wanting to alter ones appearance? Just because a trait is instinctive, is it also right? I am speaking more on terms of women's mental health as our society goes through this period of what defines "beauty norms". It has little to do with amount of make up and more about the idea of any makeup being used. Little girls for instance, are being taught that it is "normal" to alter their natural appearances. I believe this has an effect on their development and indirectly effects their relationship with men at adulthood.

I agree with u/AchromaticFade on this, Natural birth is by far more suitable than any type of surgery. Wide hips are definitely still needed in women. Evolution is relevant, we still need strong men for most labor work, and good brains for inventions. Also technology could fail for some reason and we would have to go back relying on our bodies.
