For the record, I'm now on the "let him decide" side of the fence, but I will say neither of my boys cried when they were circumsised. This was before I really looked into it and switched to the side where I believe they should choose.

The story, absolutely. That one isn't even debatable that it is stupid. ​ The comment was stupid and not something you should say, but I would venture most people would be ok with it. That said, I understand how someone wouldn't, especially when at work.
