Great post. Love it. Gotta say, it's not a repost to me because I probably haven't been on Reddit as long as you. No shame in reposting if it educates on an important topic.

Thank you - beautifully put. Men's rights = ALL men's rights = human dignity and fairness. I'm a woman.

I'm a woman and could not agree more. It's trash.

Wish I'd seen that book then, it would have been great. Our family is into history in a big way so definitely I agree with you. History books are terrific resources for any child.

I love Robert Bly! I'm a big fan and so is my husband. Thanks for your great response. Our son is now 19 and just started university. For his first term, he chose an Intro to Sociology course and an Intro to Gender Studies course. Cool, eh! I hope this generation of young men and women change things and for goodness sake, let's hope they start with media literacy.

Yes, and that's my point. I'm Canadian and it's coed from day one. I like Scouting but it just wasn't a fit for my son. What troubles me is that there's no all-boy, non-sports clubs for boys and men. But it's okay for pretty much everyone else.

As a mother of a boy and girl, I could not agree more. One thing we noticed was how many empowerment tools there were available to us for our daughter (magazines, books, clubs, videos, etc.) as a pre-teen and teen (which is great), but how few there were for our son. Truthfully, there were none! We tried Boy Scouts but it isn't all-boy anymore and wasn't a good fit. Our son is not athletic but artistic, and there was virtually nothing for him. No "Boys Can Do Anything" stuff, no FAQ's about grow…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
