Ive encountered this fear of men in public as well here in Canada. I was walking down a street at night behind some lady while I was walking home. She kept looking over her shoulder at me while walking really quickly and she was clearly concerned that I was going to jump her or something. It fucking irrates the shit out of me that my mere presence in very common context is cause for alarm in some people.

Im actually talking about Canadian law, Im talking from memory from what I learned in a law class a few years ago so take what Im saying with a grain of salt. -statement has to be damaging $$$$ or pyschological well being -broadcasted to a third party (radio duhhh) -malicious intent (desire to do harm, and sounds like these radio lists are malicious) The main defence to a defamation charge is that the statement was truth.

I wouldn't get too angry at the agency. They are simply responding to what their clients expect. Don't shoot the messenger etc Edit addition. Margaret Wente is pretty well know for writing things like this. I have been reading the globe and mail for a few years now. I can recall reading her articles prior to getting into any MRA literature and her poor psuedo pyschology was a real catalyst for me searching out better informed opinions. Honestly, I'm not sure why the G+M keeps her on staff as she regularly kicks up a fuss with G+M readers due to her crappy uniformed opinions. All she does is report echo chamber feminist writings.

Unfortunatly marriage contracts are very outdated and assume that one member of the party is weaker than the other.
