9	Woman who helped kill her 2 year old daughter for heroin money will receive probation, man involved charged with second degree murder and will receive life sentence She pleaded guilty to "accessory to murder" after making a deal with prosecutors. Hence the reason for her lighter sentence. This is the way criminal justice works in this country.
