Should there be an institution to develop mens emotional intelligence?Yes there should be one for everyone. Men don't just show up. They are born and raised and socialized and not just by other men. | /r/PurplePillDebate | 17/11/22 07:58 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)Hmmm. I completely understand how someone could get that from what I wrote. But reading back your comments and several others, the assumptions that he’s controlling or abusive, etc just don’t resonate with me. Also, to push back on the gift comment (because others have said something similar) I think it’s ok that not all men are content with just receiving whatever and being happy with it gift-wise. Also, I don’t think tab-keeping in general is uncommon in romantic relationships. Relationships s… | /r/RedPillWomen | 16/08/19 02:06 AM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)Thanks for this question. No I’ve never been afraid of him and he isn’t violent. We have had one argument that has the potential to escalate about two months in but he quickly left and I threw my phone at the wall, so if anyone had shown those tendencies it would’ve been me. After reading my post again, I realize how it could sound that way. But he’s not controlling. He doesn’t try to dictate my behavior or anything. As I wrote to another commenter, we have and still have disagreements on things… | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 06:24 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)It’s really hard to get all of the nuances of our relationship into a single post. Plus, I typed all of this in the middle of the night lol. The birthday thing wasn’t necessarily about the kind of gift itself, it was about him not feeling like I had thought long about it. And he was right; I wasn’t sure what to get him so I kinda threw something together and sent flowers because that’s what I would’ve wanted. He’s honestly not that hard to please gift-wise, so he was upset that I didn’t take two… | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 06:18 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)Yes, vulnerability is something I’ve struggled with in our relationship from the beginning. I wasn’t expecting us to get so serious so quickly and I grew up accustomed to holding things in, so it was hard. I think part of me I still struggling to be completely vulnerable. I really appreciate the methodological approach in your response. Gives me several viewpoints to consider. Initially, my reaction is that his way is sometimes better (probably due to life experience/age, another fact is he grew… | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 06:10 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)the employee/employee analogy is great. It really helps to distance myself from the situation. Definitely made things clearer. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 06:04 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)Fortunately I was able to read this comment before it was deleted. I don’t perceive it as a disobedience issue either, LateralThinker. I can understand being upset with someone for deviating from planned action, no matter how trivial. We often have discourse where we don’t agree but it remains civil. Sometime he comes to me for advice on matters where I know more than he does. So it’s definitely not just about him being able tell me what to do. | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 05:59 PM
25F needs advice for how to fully rid myself of bad habits to salvage relationship with ex-boyfriend (32M)Never. Honestly, the only times this happen are pretty trivial. I think that’s why it bothers him and has me trying to fix it. Whenever he advises me to do something for safety reasons I usually know well enough to listen and he’s never suggested anything to make me feel unsafe or at risk. I think practicing STFU is great advice because when I feel challenged or questioned I have a bad habit of responding too quickly, which often results in horribly thought out and emotionally driven responses. … | /r/RedPillWomen | 08/08/19 05:45 PM
