This one is tricky. Because some women probably do have signs of this, but also think. If a woman asks her SO to do the laundry, and it takes them three weeks to do it, then that's going to influence it, too. The fact that some women can drop a bomb like that likely has hints beforehand. Not to dismiss what happened, but not all divorces are because of this.

I can't give legal advice but protect yourself. I've been watching\listening a lot of YouTube videos where it starts innocent but spirals fast. Keep track of any joint accounts and property.

That tells me she's never cared about you. And let me ask. Do you have court paperwork that said you two are married?

I'm no expert. But I can't say this is out of nowhere. She may think you don't trust her or that you are trying to control her because of this guys unknown involvement. The loss of income may have compounded the issue, too. She may also feel her mental load is too much and that you aren't holding your fair share. There are many unknowns with this. But you may want to look into what's worth protecting. Yourself and your kids or someone who's given up on "us."

Seem like it was a choice she never fully embraced. She may have had regrets due to peer pressure and religious pressure. Separate your finances from hers and find yourself again.

What did you mean you didn't know i was cornered? I'm halfway across the map, and you should know that I needed the HMG you picked to deal with this patrol i walked into.

I'm not surprised to see a mixed response here. But it's helpful to see the different results from different men at least

I wasn't ready for a wall of text, but that was what I got. I'm happy that it worked for you and that you found someone who matches your wavelength. The phrase, "stolen my youth," is a funny thing. I wish I could steal youth and return myself to a younger age. Lol

Did you try? Did you try and support her until it failed? I won't ask for personal details if you don't want to share.

Weird question. Did you, your ex, or both pick this therapist? Did you see her qualifications? See what school they went to and how long they practiced for?

When I said it, I meant it. I honestly don't blame her for leaving. I had chances to change. I tried. But I encountered setbacks that hurt my progress. Sometimes what dies is the respect that people take for granted. Therapy helped me understand that it was doomed for a long time, but at least I understand more now where I failed and where we failed together.

All i said is that women are choosing their own path. What happens as a result is a part of the choice. Men have a choice, too. And men can make different choices, too. We aren't tied to one choice for the rest of our lives.

It can depend on who you choose. It may take several before you find one you are comfortable with. Mine mostly listened and put his two cents in so I could fill in the blanks. Not exactly given a diagnosis for my ex.

All i want to say is it's doing what it's intended to. It shows women is ok to make a choice. It allows them the freedom to choose how they live their life. That's really what happens at the end of the day. Now, what happens after that, I'm in no position to say. Carry on.

Find a COUPLES THERAPIST. And consider one for yourself. If you want to work it out, start with a couple's therapist. She may also have an undiagnosed concern. Or asks only happy when the money's flowing. That's a stretch but possible. If you don't do couple's, them find one for yourself because the fallout may be hard.

It sounds like your ex is trying to ruin you. Your reputation and everything. Even if her abuse case falls through, you may still suffer long term from the accusation.

I can't give you any legal advice. But I will tell you, you two are over. It seems she wasn't into the hot wife thing to begin with. Things like that take 100% trust and communication. Best you can do is take your time to be with your kids and make sure you are stable and mentally well off.

I'm not a professional. But I don't think she's mentally ill. She may be delusional or panic, but clinically ill isn't one that I see.

Thank you for bringing this up. Hollywood often portrays women as the only victim in a divorce. That men often just "move on" as if nothing happened. Mix that with the stereotype that men have no emotions like depression and sadness, we often struggle to find or accept help because it's seen as weak. Even now I'm sure that little things go unnoticed like loss of sleep or loss of interest in what we use to love because depression sneaks up on people. Both Men and Women. Rambling over.

My ex can live next door and work at my job in my department. I wouldn't care. I lost the attraction when I felt like a bank and butler to her than a husband. Working 40+ hours a week, cooking and doing all the cleaning and her hobbies while mine get interpreted and talked down on should have clued me in to leave sooner. That's just me but my situation isn't every guys.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
