Fox then appeared to stun Ziwe by saying if she was president, she would give every woman a gun and none to men. “I think it equals the playing field,” Fox said. “I think we wouldn’t get f—ed with so much,” Fox said. Uh, yeah, that's not how the presidency works.

Yeah, and I have to wonder why everybody apparently regards him as a racist. Like, just being white isn't enough to land you that reputation. This guy must be doing something.

Take this one seriously, OP. It's the real answer. A lot of people don't realize this and just think the world is open to them. It mostly is for temporary travel, but you can't just join "the system" anywhere you want. You have to bring in something of value, which is typically money or a valuable skill. For most of us, we're simply trapped in our society of origin.

I've always observed that women don't tend to have passionate interests the way men do. Sure, women have things they like, but it's usually very casual. You generally don't see the kind of delving into every detail and going down every rabbit hole that you see when a man is really a fan of something. Maybe that's why men get ridiculed for interests more, since their fandom is so much more fervent. Honestly, I've always felt bad for women for this, and I don't understand why they're not able to f…

Some people think that there should be a special leave (different to normal sick leave) for women to use if they are experiencing debilitating periods. This is the only way it might be able to work from a practical standpoint in my view. A separate pool for time off for female employees only with a small number of hours to be used each year. Not enough to get a week off every month, just enough so that women could take a few of their worst menstrual days off per year, and they would have to be j…

This story is so weird. They were playing hide and seek? Is that how she got him to go into the suitcase? It had to be a big damn suitcase to fit an adult man, but if it was just the two of them, how does that even work? She would know where he was hiding. I realize they were drinking and probably drunk, but even so, I have so many questions ...

I honestly don't understand what they think they're accomplishing. They post about how their partners--if they care about women--should be on board and should enthusiastically abstain from sex. If that's the case and it's not intended to be punitive against men (which is stupid anyway, since half of men are pro-choice and half of women are pro-life), then it's just two people in a relationship choosing not to have sex for a time, and that choice impacts literally nothing outside of their own hou…

I'm 46, so I think I'm probably old enough. A more helpful poster than you explained that it is sexual assault. Obviously I know what that is, but have literally never heard it abbreviated before now.

This is just more misdirected rage against men. This woman is angry about the ruling and is lashing out at men, even though it is NOT men that are against her on this, it is Republicans. Men and women remain equally split on the issue. And what is even the point of this? Sue men for what? The system already allows women to take very liberally from men financially for the children they father. This is already covered. That's how you know this is just about revenge (and against the wrong group at …

As annoying as it's been seeing this ruling get pinned specifically on men, "white" makes perhaps even less sense as a scapegoat. Where did that come from? Also, isn't the loudest voice in favor of the ruling on the Supreme Court the one black guy?

Even though dunking on men will put off many people I can tell you that it's been doing a great job of neutralizing my sympathy for them on an issue where they and I actually agree. From a purely tactical standpoint, it's pretty questionable strategy to do your level best to drive off fully 50% of your allies ...

literally about 6 men decided on abortion Half of men are pro-choice, and half of women are pro-life. I'm really getting tired of hearing how this is something that "men" did.

I hate to be defeatist, but I can't see any politician publicly advocating for this. Look at the way everyone dogpiles on men the second they suggest anything along these lines. The conditioning on this issue runs deep. It would be political suicide for an elected official to push for this, and we know that they always put their political survival first.

Statements like you quote act as if all women are pro-choice They also act like all men are pro-life. It continues to frustrate me that this is constantly framed as a "men vs. women" issue.

They don't even need the job if they're canny about it. Someone will take care of them, and it's socially acceptable for them to do nothing.

I think you're onto something here. A trembling lip and a few tears shed at something extreme like a death is okay and even encouraged, but let him start blubbering over a fender bender or something and women who expect tolerance and coddling over the same behavior will be outright disgusted.

The author states, "But what if equality isn’t the end point? What if modern, postindustrial society is simply better suited to women?", and tell me, how's this ANY DIFFERENT from a male supremacist? Is this what feminism was meant to be? If that's the case, so be it, let nature take its course. I'm tired of these expectations and this breadwinner fatigue. If they want to wear the crown and carry the responsibility for a while, more power to 'em. I think they may find it's not as wonderful as th…

That could be part of it. I also think many of us are too exhausted from having to work so hard and so worn down from all the breadwinner pressure that we just want a steady and comfortable place for retreat in what little downtime we have, so we're willing to overlook a lot. We're too damn tired to effect big changes.

In reality, neither one is rape. Neither Amy Schumer not the man in your scenario are rapists. Drunk people are still responsible for their actions. The definition of rape has become twisted and fucked up.

They're the job post, while men are the applicants, and dates are an interview. Exactly. Double standard or no, it doesn't really matter what a man puts on his online profile since no one is searching it. He doesn't need to repel flat-chested or overweight applicants. He just needs a placeholder while he goes out searching and responding to female profiles.

You want to talk about a gap, the fact that men are forced to work 11 more hours than women every week to have a life is much more appalling than that stupid wage gap that all but disappears when you account for the various factors that play into it. What's more, the statistics in that survey don't even take into account the droves of married women that don't have to work at all. Also--and there's no good way to measure this, but if there were--I'd be willing to bet the farm that the 45.5 hours …

Apparently, it was the reverse this time. According to the article, the judge went easy on her because she had an intellectual disability. So basically, they can't lose. They get out of trouble for being smart or for being dumb.

Wrong. Franken is in the unenviable position of being required (by party politics) to "believe women" anytime they speak up. He can't just call her a liar. He DID call for an investigation, which is the best he can do. It seems clear to me from the accounts of the kiss and event that they were rehearsing a racy skit and Franken didn't do anything particularly inappropriate within the context of that. Also, the fact that she chose to make hay about a picture that explicitly shows him not touching…

she could have solved that whole problem by raising her hand and interrupting him, and saying, "I'm really flattered you enjoyed my book so much!" That sort of self-advocacy is way too independent and direct. Easier to just write a passive-aggressive article insulting the guy later.

They weren't complaining in their 20s when they were all fucking the same 10% of the hottest men, or fucking the older men with money themselves. What they're primarily guilty of is lack of foresight: They thought the party would go on forever. The shoe is on the other foot now, and it's hard to feel bad for them.

A neighboring bar or restaurant should introduce a "female tax" on drinks and meals. Except, of course, men would just end up paying it one way or another anyway.
