Honestly, this place was doomed from the start. Of course it was just going to turn into dunking on women. There’s only so much actual “PPD” content that exists, so it has to just become “women are dumb.”

Yes, fostering a relationship with your father is such a bad idea.

He never said it was a victimless crime. You're putting words into his mouth. Saying "I was raped, pay attention to me!" is vastly, vastly different than "That man raped me, put him in jail for 50 years!"

It's like American History X. Sometimes, while he's ranting and raving, you go "Yeah man, he's actually kinda right abou-WHOAWHOAWHOA! This guys crazy fucking racist!"

She get's like super close to what I've been thinking, but doesn't quite say it. I'll amend her statement; You don't stop playing video games. You don't stop watching sci-fi. You don't stop playing board games or table tops or Magic. You don't stop being you. This is what I feel is really important to say. You don't just hit 30 and go "Well shit! Turns out I don't like all those things I used to!"

Whoa whoa whoa! What the fuck are you talking about? 1 in 4 women are raped! That must mean we have a lot of rapists running around. Or a couple rapists who get up very early in the morning.

So, if she gets raped in her sleep, that's okay! According to this logic anyway.

Do you say the same thing to people who want to forgive rapists or women who make false rape claims? Are we to forgive this woman for her transgression because maybe she once was an actual victim? And if you're being sarcastic, whoosh.

I went to a private school in Florida that forbid boys to wear shorts. We also had to wear polo shirts tucked in with a belt. The no shorts thing is the point that matters here. Florida. Pants. August. Fuck that.

This is the key, application of responsibility onto the victim should never happen. Insurance companies do not insure your home in a robbery if you left the door unlocked.

But this poster itself is not Misandric. If it is, than every single time it is shown that a man is doing something bad, it's misandric. And that's just fucking silly.

Uhh... Does this poster say "Fuck Men?" I fail to see what you're getting at here.

It's a single poster, portraying a single instance. That's not ANYthing other than what it is. Now, when we see a long campaign of only these types of images, that can be considered misandric. But right now? It's just an ad.

Oh, make no mistake, I am against gingerroots actions, but that was not the point of my posts. As an aside, when you take someone who is merely trying to get you to have reasonable discourse and turn them into a "feminist under-cover troll" then you have problems. Also, look a little bit further back than a few pages, you'll see that I am by no means a "feminist under-cover troll," I am merely trying to get you to stop acting crazy. I was alot more active back before the whole PN6 debacle happen…

I wasn't calling you a misogynist. I was calling you an angry little person. No bones about it. I don't give a shit what she did, it doesn't give you free reign to act like a child in turn. Let me be clearer; We (as a movement) do not need you. You are hurting our cause. Also, you clearly do care what I think, you keep responding. :D
/r/MensRights09/09/09 11:52 PM

No. Also, this is why people will not take you seriously. This is why MRA will have trouble getting off the ground and making a point. It's because of angry little people like you who are mudslinging. It's not helpful, it's not informative, and it does nothing except slow the conversation down. You want to make progress? Cool, but you gotta stop that attitude. You want to have a he-man woman haters club? Go right ahead, but don't expect any support from the intelligent people who would actually …

Being fondled doesn't seem shitty to you? Think about it this way, being 6, chances are she doesn't make a distinction that he's retarded. Shit, as far as a 6 year old is concerned, anyone over 5 feet tall is a "grown-up." Yeah, she's probably a bit traumatized. I'm not saying he should get any jail time, but yeah..

pn6, I have no idea why you were downmodded. This is extremely true. While it is different kinds of work, homemaking is incredibly important. Is it harder than office work? Depends. But mainly, it's different. The idea of comparing them at all seems silly. Apples and oranges.

Feminists have repeatedly claimed that either all men are rapists or that all men are potential rapists. No we don't. That is lie/strawman #1, and immediately discredits pn6 and this author. http://www.time.com/time/magazine/article/0,9171,980115-8,00.html http://www.brainyquote.com/quotes/quotes/m/marilynfre108276.html There are more, but yeah.

Yeah probably. I was hit as a kid. My brothers were too. By my father and my mother. The thing was, there was a big difference. My father hit us when we were acting like little shits. My mother hit us when she was angry. Perhaps she was angry at us being little shits, but it still just came across like she was venting.

Don't single people out like that. It's hardly constructive.

No. I am pretty consistently out with my baby cousin and Godson. Both are about the same age (3 and a half to 4) and pretty energetic, happy kids. We go to the park and that kind of stuff. Sometimes I take them on errands when their respective mothers are too busy. I really have had no problems with it. Honestly, I align with a good portion of the things that appear in MR subreddit, but this idea that I have to avoid my loved ones because of their age is silly to me.

Not bad. I have to say, I saw "Everyday Normal Guy" about a year ago. And essentially, this is the same song. Just a rock version with different words. Other than that, I chuckled a few times.

I was actually thinking of HIMYM when watching this. The thing is, Marshall somehow managed to be the breadwinner of the couple, obviously more and better schooling, yet somehow he is a baffoon. He acts like a total child. Ted is a complete pussy. Which I guess if how out society wants our men now, comepletely void of masculinity. Barney...well, Barney is hilarious, and the reason I watch the show pretty much. But he's still ridiculously over the top. He's misogynistic, vile, and down right evil…
