Luckily for me she never acted on this other than just telling everyone she was raped. False accusation actually sounds worse than getting the police involved and at least having a chance to clear your name. How did you manage to get over the whole thing? And for the rest of us, any red flags you've since learned to avoid?

Yeah. Basically, this behaviour says "i'm a child and incapable of making my own decisions". The sad part is that it also diminishes the concept of rape. If rape can be anything, rape is nothing. If people are allowed to wave the rape card whenever they've had a bad day, they hurt not only the ones they falsely accuse, but also the ones who have actually suffered rape. It's a damn selfish thing to do.

Strong, independent individuals always have agency. So much so that they can choose to retroactively abdicate it.

You should march against this injustice. It might be the society's fault.

Something's wrong here. You're supposed to use that word to describe patriarchal oppression, not to introduce objectivity into the situation.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
