I'm pretty sure a lot of lesbian women think like straight males. I've always associated myself more as a male even though I wouldn't go as far and call myself trans, and so when I'm interested in a woman, I usually make the 1st move. Sometimes what it really boils down to are cultural differences. For example, in Italy men spend more money on fashion than women do.
