I don’t know why I keep needing reminding that it doesn’t matter anymore. That I don’t need to care anymore except for the kids. I’ll be moved out soon and everything will start getting better. Thank you

Thank you. Part of the hard time I am having is because I do not have a good support system, but I am working on that. Trying to find a support group, I have a therapist, going to join some adult league sports, etc. I have plans, they just take time to come about, but I’m working on it. You might see me on here more. And I’ll try and add to others comments too, it’s hard to read them sometimes, but I know it will help.

She is obviously in a completely different mindset than me and doesn’t want to deal with me anymore, so I’m done trying to share myself with her.

You’re right, I was trying to hold her accountable to my feelings. I’m on the path to not caring anymore now and it feels so much better.

I think I’ve already come to terms with why it’s ending, neither of are upset about it, just scared. We both know our shortfalls. She has clearly known a lot longer though that it’s over and just didn’t tell me. I think we are both in very different positions in this process. She has clearly accepted and is ready to try and move on while I am stuck at step 1, and it’s hard to see her there while I’m stuck here. I’m already in therapy, we are being as amicable as possible, and we both have our fa…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
