6	Men afraid of women at work Yes, this fear is real and it sucks. We should listen to men and hear out concerns. It seems to me this is similar to (albeit a bit aged) concerns of men falling into infidelity at the work place. Some men would use guidelines/rules to prevent it. Think of Mike Pence-he gets slammed in the media for his rules round what he can and can’t do and where he can and can’t be with women. He doesn’t eat alone with women, for example. 1	My teacher believes in the wage gap. Ya the “78 cents to a dollar” note is better described as an “earnings gap”-not a wage gap. It doesn’t account for different careers/jobs. When looking at the same jobs out of college, men and women earn basically the same (no gap). When comparing earnings in the same jobs, most of the earnings gap in the US is not attributed to gender, but rather motherhood. 2	So change.org didn’t think “Gender Equality” would be more fitting? Although simplified, something that made me think differently about women’s rights is along the lines of “how can we expect women to gain equality in the workplace while men are unequal in the household?” While women have gained huge strides towards equality in workplaces, something consistently blocking full equality is the demands and expectations of motherhood. 2	As a single father who recently won full custody I decided it was time to learn a new skill. Also the flair is because I made progress legally and skill wise. A power braid!!! Such a great hair style for sports! I always did my hair in a power braid for lacrosse games and it got me ready for game day :) It’s SO GOOD! Great job! Protip- you can use pre-wrap as a one time use head band to keep baby hairs out of her face. I never found another headband that kept hair out of my face and didn’t slip off constantly. 6	Reminder that the United States Selective Service STILL requires men to register, but not women Ya, I tried to register (I’m a woman) and it didn’t let me. Requiring men to register for selective service should hopefully end soon (or be required of everyone) since women are now permitted to serve in combat roles - my understanding is that selective service has been legally upheld largely on the reasoning that women were not allowed in combat roles.
