What are you talking about? Yes it is. Why would you lie like that?

It is not a scientifically proven fact that we cannot be equal because our chromosomes are different. Estrogen and testosterone are different sex hormones and are both found in men and women. Of course they aren’t the same hormone. Apples and oranges is not a valid comparison. Apples and oranges are two different fruits with millions of years of evolutionary distinction from one another. Men and women are not. You do not have to be the same to have equal value. And under egalitarianism men and w…

Egalitarianism is the belief that all people are equal. You believe men and women aren’t equal. Those are mutually exclusive.

You have got to be joking. I came back to add this link. It's about the Redpill and the Manoshphere in general. I saw the vid wks ago but didn't think about it until a post just now, thought it might be helpful. Did you even watch this freaking video? It’s only 10 minutes long for godsake. I am indicative of the MRA, we want actual equality ie, Egalitarianism. The fundamental “truth” according to that video is that men and women are biologically different, which he states is not a philosophical …

Did you notice that you don’t answer my concrete questions? I’m really not interested in YouTube videos because I don’t think they’re reliable sources. As I’ve said before, if you could link me to peer reviewed studies I’d be really interested in those. I didn't have to read it, I've read dozens the same, good chance I read that one previously anyway. This is a dangerously ignorant statement. You yourself stated you only glanced over it because you presumed it was a biased study. I’m not sure if…

I wanted to see what a men’s rights movement would be about. I was surprised to find out some information, like how frequently men are raped in general, and specifically by women. The incidence was way higher than I ever would have even suspected. I think a lot of real issues are being ignored in favor of misogynistic rhetoric though. Like when someone says “marital rape should be legal” clearly the plot has been lost. Most of the conversations I’ve seen on here are circular, reductive, and fill…

I think it’s funny, I hear a lot of women also complaining that men aren’t masculine anymore and they find it unattractive. I’m a lesbian though so I enjoy this expansion of femininity. Children do do better with stable homes. I think the best route would be to look at all the factors that can make a home stable, which doesn’t have to be a traditional western household. Also, men have to be more involved with children.

If you’d like to refer to that as right at the beginning I don’t really have a problem with that. My point was more about you not having read the article thoroughly before you started commenting. Speaking in absolutes is really stupid. I didn’t miss any of those comments. Those comments don’t show that “it doesn’t matter what women earn they always want a man that earns more.” They show that the men who are getting married are more likely to have a job and make more money. You are relating the a…

Omg please read the article! I think you would really enjoy it! She talks about that too! Not about being better people. Although you’re right, women assimilated right into a lot of negative behaviors once given power. I don’t think we became more principled. I disagree about femininity being thrown off though. I love the expanded definition of femininity. I can be myself and I feel extremely feminine. You’re right about the young men. It doesn’t make sense to work for no reason.

I had an insanely long post with tons of quotes that I accidentally deleted. TLDR, you’re wrong, she wants men to define masculinity and part of the article concerns the reluctance to define and stand up for masculinity from every source other than the alt-right. She could’ve gone more in depth irl the attraction thing. I don’t think relying on women to choose “better men” is an effective strategy.

You didn’t say it right at the beginning. You hadn’t even read the whole article when you started commenting because you assumed it would be biased. It didn’t occur to you that I had missed those words because I didn’t. We discussed them. You even bolded the word “alone” in one of your comment’s to me and I responded to it directly. First you said “Nobody concluded that women don’t want to pay significantly towards bills from this article alone, there is no data to support that” To which I respo…

Who is begging for men to take the mentorship role? The woman in the article? Are they begging because young men aren’t being mentored? Shouldn’t mentoring young men be a priority for men?

Why did you say that she said we shouldn’t change the plan though? How is she not letting men and boys decide who they’re going to be? She presented her ideas to solve the problem.
/r/MensRights12/07/23 09:13 AM

That is not at all the TLDR I got from this article. I’m shocked that that’s your impression. This article was very nuanced and acknowledged many of the struggles men and boys are going through right now. That’s what this whole subreddit is all about. She states that boys need masculine role models, that they need men to thrive. Having male role models improved outcomes for boys. She proposed that the left acknowledge the validity of part of the right’s claims; to be a man means something, mascu…

I’m glad we agree that there is no information in this article that supports the conclusion that women don’t want to pay significantly towards the bills. That would make drawing the conclusion that women don’t want to pay significantly towards bills from this specific article ILLOGICAL, because there’s no information in this article to support that claim. I’m not sure where our disconnect is there. You disagreed that it is illogical to draw that conclusion from this article, which is what I’ve b…

I’m honestly confused given your background in data analytics about why you’re asking this question. The women on the podcasts and TikToks presumably were either asked to be on them or volunteered. That means that every woman in the population wasn’t equally likely to be included. The reasons they were asked or volunteered can influence the results through bias. Regardless, the women were not chosen at random and are not representative of the population at large.

I said: "Nobody concluded....from this article alone" Yes, you did say that. That indicates that this article, along with other sources of information, led you to that conclusion. What information in this article supports the conclusion that women don’t want to pay significantly towards the bills? I did not see any data or information that supported that conclusion in this article. This is what I’ve been asking. How would i know that you spend years doing data analysis? I also didn’t tell you how to do it. I just made an accurate comment about samples. I never suggested anyone sample one million anything. I said that a million women were a tiny fraction of all women. I was showing that any conclusions reached based on their shared behavior wouldn’t automatically be representative of all women. Podcasts and TikToks are not reliable as sources to make statistical inferences about the population. The probl…

You did say that, to which I responded You’re saying that nobody made that conclusion from this article. The comment I was originally responding to literally started with “so they’re saying,” referencing the article. It has tons of upvotes. The comment doesn’t reference anything in the article at all, but I’ve been insulted for asking about that. The lack of other people in this subreddit questioning those conclusions is not sufficient evidence of proof. I agree, it does seem like the article wa…

The problem is not the conclusions you came to. The problem is that you and the other commenters said you came to those conclusions from this article. You did not. That is not my ignorance; that’s yours. I’m not sure where you’re struggling in terms of reading comprehension, but I’m certainly not being silly. Podcasts are not a reliable source of information. Even if you saw a million women saying the exact same thing that would be a very very tiny fraction of the billions of women in the world.…

Yes, the first sentence is correct. I don’t understand why it isn’t an ideology, but that doesn’t mean it isn’t an ideology. It just means I don’t understand why it is. You said that it wasn’t an ideology, so I apologized for mislabeling it.

You poked some fun at women in response to an article by stating claims about them that aren’t supported in the article in question. It’s a really weird thing to do. This subreddit is called Men’s rights, so why did you focus on painting women badly instead of the issues here that impact men’s rights? Women aren’t angels, there are bad women. That means there’s actual issues to bring up, so there’s no need to derail this conversation. The article in question shows there’s a lack of economically …

If you answered my questions in the comment you’re responding to I would be satisfied. In efforts to close the info in your comment off, I did see that 80% stat but it came from one person with no data. From what I could see quickly false allegations are an issue in Delhi. The motivation for them has not been proven to be for money in any cases, but there are a lot of families who would prefer the stigma of rape over a woman having consensual sex or use it to force men into marrying women they’v…

It’s not a nonsensical statement. Of course more knowledge provides context. That has no bearing on what I’m saying. The thing I said was untrue and didn’t make sense was the statement that the linked article could lead someone to say that despite getting most of the degrees and earning more money than ever, women don’t want to pay significantly towards the bills. I asked how the article supported that conclusion. Eventually he said that it wasn’t the article, it was Kevin Samuels and other sour…

There isn’t any ambiguity in what I said. I unambiguously believe that marriage is not consent to sex. Sex without consent is rape. Rape is a criminal act. Marital rape should be illegal. The victims of marital rape deserve justice. Those are all complete sentences and I don’t see the need for ambiguity. Since ambiguity is an important aspect of this topic for you, have you brought it up in the discussions on that post? I don’t think I saw comments requesting room for the suffering victims of ma…

Oh no, I didn’t mean to try to argue about what you meant, I was just stating why I interpreted it that way. I asked why the article supported that view a couple of times so I thought you understood my interpretation. What were you translating into what men hear and what at least some women mean?
/r/MensRights10/07/23 05:30 AM

I didn’t say automatically believe all women. I said marital rape is a big problem in India and it should be illegal. Marriage is not automatic consent to sex. The victims of marital rape deserve justice. Yeah, you did downplay my experience. Just because it isn’t a big deal to you doesn’t mean that it wasn’t to me. Regardless of how big of a deal it is, or how much ruder other people are on this subreddit, I think it was unpleasant and I said so. No, I didn’t really suggest that it was okay for…

I read up on the context. There are many people explicitly stating that sex between married people is inherently consensual. The cruelty penalizations weren’t the same as rape. Marital rape wasn’t criminalized and only had civil penalties. Marital rape is being heavily reported in India. The victims need justice. The things I said weren’t true or didn’t make sense wasn’t based on my knowledge, it was based on the comments that I was reading. I don’t think being an expert on red pill ideology wou…

I didn’t miss that, your comment started with “so they’re saying” in response to an article, and I think most would think you’re discussing the article, not the translation of unknown women that you didn’t reference previously. Your comments just aren’t supported by this article, and they don’t really seem related to it. I don’t see any evidence to support this translation of what women actually say to this random meaning? Kevin Samuels honestly isn’t a reliable source. He said a lot of controve…

You insulted me and then baselessly accused me of being here in bad faith. I asked a question, and then genuinely asked for an explanation. You provided neither and then asked me a question. This wasn’t a positive experience. The purpose of a partner making more money than you, if chosen solely for that reason, would be access to that money, lifestyle or networking opportunities I would assume. The article we’re discussing doesn’t address income in this way though.
/r/MensRights10/07/23 02:04 AM

Yeah I definitely think that your first comment was poorly worded because it indicated that you were concluding from that article. I don’t think that the article did support that conclusion. I think the widest conclusion this article and the original study supports is that being employed, having a higher income, and being more educated increases men’s chances of being married, and it doesn’t even directly say that.

This movement has a lot of negative discourse surrounding it. I came to this subreddit to see what you all are saying for myself because I’m a really nosy person. I’ve been treated dismissively, insulted, and downvoted for engaging. On another post a man not only stated that marital rape should be legal, but proposed paying women to falsely accuse other men of rape. I was downvoted for challenging him, and very few other people spoke out about his ugly words. There have definitely been moments o…

I just used the female delusion calculator and it stated the probability of a man (aged 20-60) meeting the standard of being unmarried and making at least 50k a year in the US is only 14.3%. That’s without any qualifiers. So it doesn’t seem that there are a ton of men to choose from in that range, which supports the study. I still don’t think I get your conclusion. The study showed that women both on the high and low end of the socioeconomic scale fare worse, so being willing to date under the m…

I didn’t think this was new evidence. The study compared unmarried women with comparable married women. They looked at the characteristics of the husbands of those women and then compared them to the actual characteristics of unmarried men. The study didn’t address the splitting of bills at all. I’m asking how they concluded that women don’t want to pay significantly towards bills from this article. The conclusion that I saw was that the men who are getting married are more likely to have a job,…

Yes, that is only logic. Bills do need to be paid. How did you come to the conclusion that they’re saying despite getting most of the degrees and earning more than ever, women don’t want to pay significantly towards bills?

Lol I’d love a Time Machine for sure. There’s definitely a lot of things that I think could be changed for the better. What do you think we should do about the inequality you pointed out right now though? Like if we did learn the lessons, what changes do you think would be implemented regarding the imbalance of harassment vs rejection?
/r/MensRights09/07/23 01:58 PM

Okay, I don’t want to deny the Kevin Samuels portion because I haven’t really watched him. How did the article confirm the expectation that women don’t want to be responsible for paying significant bills? I didn’t see that so I wanted to understand further.

I’m not here in bad faith. We are complete strangers and I haven’t done anything to indicate my mind cannot be changed. I am genuinely interested in understanding this perspective.

Okay. I don’t think that I did say that you did advocate protection from rejection. I asked about the solution to the inequality you pointed out. I see that you’re concerned with the potential exploitation of the legal protections for harassment. How do you think we should rectify it?

I’m glad that you agree that Jonah is wrong because he’s attempting to manipulate her into compliance. I think that’s the issue as well. I completely agree that a lot of women choose to attempt to control their partners rather than draw appropriate boundaries. Controlling behavior like this often involves emotional abuse. I definitely discuss boundaries as a relationship tool with women online and in person. I’m not sure why you said you both trust that I do share this and that you expect that I…

I think that would be a really big hint too. I didn’t see any mention as to the primary bread winner in the article though. I wanted to know where that conclusion came from in this article.

How did you come to that conclusion from this article though?
/r/MensRights09/07/23 06:53 AM

Where did you get that conclusion that women don’t want to pay significantly toward the bills? The article that I saw didn’t mention any data about bill division or women’s desires regarding that.

How did you determine that human evolution is being driven by sexual selection, exclusively by women?
/r/MensRights09/07/23 06:35 AM

So you’re saying that the problem is rights on one side of the equation and not the other. Do you want to eliminate legal protections for harassment or would you like legal protections for rejection? What protection from rejection look like?
/r/MensRights09/07/23 06:28 AM

Boundaries are about your OWN response to other people’s behaviors because you cannot control or change other people’s behaviors. Telling a woman what to do is not setting a boundary. Deciding not to date or associate with women who engage in behaviors you’re uncomfortable with IS setting a boundary.

You literally just said to stop thinking about actual rapists and think about hypothetical falsely accused men? What is wrong with you? In what world does any moral compass allow you to honestly and truly tell people to stop considering actual victims of a violent and horrific crime and instead consider hypothetical potential victims? Really? Where are the stats behind your assertion that every woman claims she’s raped by her husband? What recourse do you propose for people who are raped by their spouses?
/r/MensRights06/07/23 08:28 PM

That definition is the legal definition in the United States, which is where you’re getting your statistics from, so I don’t think the variance is relevant here. I don’t know how you determined that the CDC doesn’t think coercion is rape. If it’s because it was separated from the rape category, so was “made to penetrate” and that is absolutely rape, as you acknowledged. I’m not sure how the legal and literal definition of rape isn’t a strong defendable reason to include coercion as rape. Picking…

I agree that made to penetrate should be included in the rape stats for sure. I don’t think it should be separated. However the legal definition of rape includes all three categories of rape, made to penetrate, and coercion. The data is illuminating for sure but your math and conclusions were wrong. The numbers are still impactful if you use the correct data. You should edit your post with the most recent info and the correct percentages.
/r/MensRights28/04/23 02:32 PM

Okay…so on that most recent report they do show perpetrators by sex in last 12 months. Also why did you cherry pick that first data? Why include rape and made to penetrate but not sexual coercion?
/r/MensRights28/04/23 06:57 AM

You didn’t miss it, the % is lifetime. He didn’t use the lifetime stats for those numbers.

/r/MensRights28/04/23 05:45 AM

I don’t think you read the table? Made to penetrate includes both female and male perpetrators. They do separate perpetrators by sex in a different table, but that’s lifetime, not past 12 months. Also why did you not use the most recent report in 2016/2017?
