Pretty sure in Australia there are ways for people with disabilities to get sex workers funded, I'm sure I've seen it in the press

I only watched that again the other night. He's done a few TV shows over the years I think but now just slobbing around at home it appears

Lol she is probably his sister or something like that Looks very similar age range. The media sucks.

I used to slam doors, stomp around etc. I was super depressed and at the time had no idea I was in an emotionally abusive relationship- but I was. My ex is a super narc and would act like king shit and tell everyone how awful I was, just like this guy. Yeah, maybe the wife is horrible. But maybe he's abusive. Either way, toxic relationship.

Lol my ex actually does drink Smirnoff

So she's basically a full time SAHM for the love child?? That's intense. I've put up with some nonsense but whoa.

My cats have never left shit stains on my sheets, men have. I know which animal I prefer.

Yep, she specialises in trauma and DV. So she's all over it.

My first child and experiences with breastfeeding was soured by the father being obsessed with wanting my breasts and milk to himself. He would just sit and stare anytime I attempted to feed. WHY ARE MEN

Yeah I'm an introvert but if I've got something to say I'll say it audibly and clearly. No need to shrink away.

Hey this sounds like my life. I read the riot act and was about to kick his arse out and then we've all been down with covid. Life is about to resume and then he's out on his lazy butt.

I know of one, but has also used escorts, fwb, hookups while being single. Only wants a relationship if it's with a perfect young woman, but he's not getting any younger himself.

Hahah my ex boyf fancied himself an artist. 15 years later he's now living back with his mother...

Oooof I've had those three phrases said to me, too hard to buy for/you have everything/you buy for yourself. So lazy and demeaning. I am really not that hard to buy for.

It's embarrassing the shit we let them get away with. But no more! Onwards and upwards.

That's a very rose tinted glasses version of Australian social security. Plenty of people are homeless as there isn't enough public housing, there isn't adequate mental health support. Rents are getting higher and higher and low wages and govt payments aren't enough to keep a roof over heads any more.

Hope you're travelling ok x

Oh I appreciate that, but most of those relationship type needs can be fulfilled with good friendships. Nothing wrong with a partnership if you can find a good one of course!
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy11/12/21 11:37 PM

Yep. Paid more than my share of things early in the relationship when he was a struggling student, and he certainly never made it up later on, I just kept having to outlay money.

Except, we don't need the man to achieve those.

That's exactly his plan. My ex would often meet me places, but run late so I'd order our coffees or whatever while I was waiting. Took me far too long to figure it out.

It already is reality- Atwood has been quoted many times that the elements are based off historical (recent and not so recent) events. She just shifted the location.

That one makes me super mad. Yeah, maybe he is depressed. But he needs to deal with that. If you push his giant headed kid out of your vagina, or have major surgery to get the kid out, you're in physical pain and a hormonal mess recovering. Get your shit together Dad and get on with it.

He hated the actor Ewan McGregor. I think mostly to annoy me, because I could never figure out a real reason. Also my favourite band. Just generally into negging I guess.

Oh wow. I have a history of depression and when I was in my darkest places, I was all into BDSM. I guess I thought I deserved it, needed correction etc all those horrible things. As soon as my mental health improved I had no interest in partaking in any of that nonsense.

It is beyond belief isnt it. I was another who wasn't expected to do much as a kid... but I often offered to help out anyway. Coz I lived in the house. If a kid can figure it out, why can't an adult?

Hates Christmas... but pretty sure it's just a way to get out of putting any effort into prep and presents. Thinks flowers are a waste of money Insists on getting a pet but then doesn't do any of the work involved

Oh my gosh 😢 How hard and how much must he have hit her to make her pass out?! I can't even imagine. And she'll be covered in welts and bruises and probably broken skin and it'll take weeks for her skin to heal, let alone the mental trauma. I can't even.

The bit about helping them level up- if the matchmaker is taking on that life coach kind of role it definitely has some.good points But over all, no I don't think it's a good idea

I feel this. My ex was proper emotionally abusive. My current is not that bad. But he's not good either. And you're right, I rarely tell anyone the truth. Most people want to keep on pretending and believing the happy family lies

Ex husband loved cooking carbonara No, actually it was overcooked pasta with a jar of crappy carbonara sauce poured over it. No chicken added (as recommended by the jar!) Super terrible. And then he'd leave the plates in the sink until they were covered in mould 🤢

Youngest is 15months so still very mum focussed, getting easier though. Older ones are expected to do more for themselves. I sew! I love sewing. I tend to make stuff for the kids but it's still satisfying. Carving out the time can be a challenge but I try.

It is sad. And I'm definitely one of those women who's main identity is Mum and that's about it. Look it sucks. But I'm conscious of it and working on it. So please don't judge us Mum types too harshly... when life becomes a blur of broken sleep and feeding and housework etc it is really hard to keep your sense of self.

Oh I can't even respond right now, hits too close to home. Be careful ladies, it's too easy to fall into this trap.

Planned c sections still carry plenty of risks. I don't want to get into a debate but normal vaginal birth still has the better outcomes for both mother and baby.

When my kids were younger, maybe 3 &5? Or thereabouts they made nests using their bedding one night for fun. They were young kids. They did it for one night and then went back to their beds. How on earth do people do things like this lomg term?!

Nope, one of the many reasons he got put out the door. My kids are young but I would expect they would wash whatever made up a full load if they put the wash on, whoever owns the clothes

Bruising and swelling around the airway too

It's not an empowered answer, but if it's in the basket I wash it. It makes sense when you're washing for yourself and the kids to put his stuff through too.

I have kids. I love them but it is hard. Anyone who is on the fence- all I can say is make sure you have a good support system. Choose the father well but have a support system outside of him because even the 'good' ones often fail at parenting.

Thanks for the reply, I agree it isn't easy. At the moment my armpits are mostly hair free but that always depends on whether I can be bothered doing them. I've gone through various stages with my pubic hair, but mostly I feel a lot of pressure about leg hair. I have children of both sexes so definitely have concerns about what my own attitudes and habits may portray to them and their expectations
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy25/02/21 02:00 PM
17

But are women actually going to stop removing all their body hair? It's sadly become the norm that it's an embarrassment to have pubic hair or hair legs or God forbid hairy armpits

Did he get the kids meal? Coz that is a serious manchild
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy22/02/21 05:39 AM

Oh shit. My ex and I are amicable, we have kids and coparent reasonably well. My current likes to do the "Well your ex said (insert negative thing about me/relationship) to me" And I hadn't thought much of it, my ex is a bit of an arse and does come out with some pearler comments at times, but I just let it go most of the time and get on with dealing with stuff relating to the children. But fuck me, I hadn't seen what a reflection that was on my current.

/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/02/21 12:56 PM

OMG yes. So I do enjoy it every now and then, and my partner kept hinting he wanted to do it and I kept saying yes, go for it. He eventually did and he didn't really enjoy it. And I think it goes back to exactly that, where's the fun for the man if the woman actually enjoys it?!? 🥴
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy20/02/21 12:43 PM

That's what I don't get!! I don't pee on the floor but y'know if I accidentally spill a drink or something I clean it up. I don't understand how men find it acceptable to just walk away from their mess.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy19/02/21 10:03 PM

My son peed on the floor today. So I made him clean it up and told him to do better.

That's terrible 🤢
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy18/02/21 01:11 AM

But that's not how it works. If my kids are little shits when we are out, the judgement comes down on me. It is socially acceptable for fathers to just opt out. And I'm so fucking over it
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy17/02/21 12:16 PM

I have children. I love my children very much but my gosh it can be hard. My pregnancies varied from mostly easy to being in agony barely able to walk. And yeah, you don't know what sort of pregnancy you're going to get. You don't know whether you're going to get kids with additional needs, and the extra emotional and financial costs of that. So make sure you choose their father well.

Ugh I know right? I highly doubt it has been a sudden change in behaviour from him. Look potentially he has got lazier as time as gone by, more likely it just wasn't as obvious how useless he was when there was only one kid.

I think there are definitely Doms with High Value characteristics; but no I do not think there are many Doms that are HVM. Honestly there's probably more LVM playing at domming than not, there's a hell of a lot of narcissistic tendencies on show. I'll try to come back later and say more but that's the quick version ha.
/r/FemaleDatingStrategy13/02/21 03:25 AM

I've said before, but have dabbled in BDSM. Now that I'm mentally healthier, I don't really have any interest in it. The 'real' Doms use that power dynamic well, there's no excuse for not making a woman orgasm. The submissive gives up control but that's not the same thing as not getting to have any pleasure. An example. Dom made me say he could use me any way he wanted (yeah yeah, I know. I'm not encouraging BDSM, I 100% promise). BUT he then took great enjoyment over watching me squirm having m…

Ugh cut and run! It'll only get worse. I had one who when we got together I was out earning him (not by much BTW), and if we went anywhere I always paid- 'oh, you just get your card out quicker than I do, I'll get next time' (hint, he didn't get next time. He'd happily order what he wanted or filled the trolley with what he wanted and then just wouldn't pay). He got me so used to paying for everything. So wrong. Sadly, stayed in the relationship way too long and it cost me an awful lot of money …

I'm going to assume you're making an asinine joke. Please don't use 'cutesy' nicknames for your body parts. Vagina, vulva whichever part you're meaning, use the proper name. Cutesy names are often used with children and there's plenty of evidence of cases where abusers use nicknames, such as cookie or flower, and so if the child does manage to get the guts to tell another adult of what has been done to them it sounds like a game or nonsense. Which is exactly what the abuser wants.

100% agree that LVM take energy away from mum and therefore the children. Honestly right now pretty sure it's my life and I want to say more but I'm beyond exhausted. The children are missing out on things due to the man child and it is devastating.

It really isn't empowering. I have kids, by choice (as in I wasn't forced to; but not forgetting society and patriarchy and what seemed like a biological urge to bear children). It isn't empowering to be exhausted all the time. It isn't empowering to be a snack bitch, to change bums, to comfort a crying child. For most mothers, it means giving up their whole being. The person you were before children isn't the same person you are after. Even in a healthy relationship, the mother has still given …

I don't check pockets. Ever. Have washed wallets, cash, paperwork, pens, whatever is there. Not my problem.

My ex got me a fry pan for whichever gift giving occasion it was (don't recall). I made him return it to the store- that's a house item, not a gift. He also gave me a sodastream one Xmas and I still use it. He got that one right- because it was something that I wanted for myself but didn't want to pay for.

Yes but no. Let the men flounder. They will have to suck it up and either A) figure it out Or B) let their ego go and ask for assistance Chances are it'll be C) call mummy for help

How frikken depressing is that though When man-children are proud of their efforts on everyday tasks, I ask them quite dryly if they want a gold star

I do get rabid about the 'alleged', but that's a legal thing because he hasn't been convicted of the crime :/

If you are a student, there would be some higher up you can report to. If that first one was no use, keep going up the chain.

Sadly not. But I think we've better prepared ourselves to keep them at bay

Ha I have said 'not my problem' out loud to a man on a couple of occasions. Usually it's just in my head. I was in the kitchen grabbing a drink I think, he said: "oh damn I'm hungry" I didn't respond Him:. "Oh I forgot to have lunch" Me: "Yeah, that's not my problem" He looked so aghast that I didn't offer to make him something

"The day everything changed was the day he threatened to hit me. Until then he’d punished me, threatened me, blackmailed me, verbally abused me and twice restrained me. But when he threatened to punch me in the face while I was holding our daughter in my arms, it was a wake-up call." I feel this so much. My ex never hit me. But sometimes I think it would have been easier to accept he was abusive if he did hit me. Instead he went with systematically destroying me, isolating me from friends and fa…

Women handle pain better than men. If men had to go through periods, endo, childbirth etc the medical options would look entirely different

Holy crap I think I've had this happen and not even realised I used to be quite into running but it got harder to manage as more metaphorical roadblocks were added and I haven't done it for years :/

My narc ex FINALLY got a good job and drivers license after we split. Didn't improve his personality in any way but on paper he sounded better. Don't be fooled by those LVM. They've got nothing to lose and everything to gain by continuing in their loser ways.

I've done so much communicating 🙄 and now I'm done. There isn't anything wrong with expressing you are dissatisfied- but plenty wrong with having to walk a man child through how to adult.

All power to everyone who wants a dildo or vibe but I rarely use mine. Probably sounds arse backwards but I feel less need to try to orgasm alone when I'm not having crap sex shrug.

It's really really hard to leave an abusive relationship. She sounds like she's on her way to it but it can take time

I have dabbled in BDSM. It's disturbing how many men see themselves as these amazing D types when all they want is to rough you up and fuck without even having to pretend to care about your needs.

I remember feeling really put out when a sexual partner I had didn't want to pull my hair and rough me up a bit. It was really hard to accept that the reason he wouldn't hurt me was because he cared about me- after previous (and sadly future) partners would swear they cared and then do what they could to inflict pain on me

OMG my ex tried to get me diagnosed BPD! My sister does have bpd and I won't deny some of the characteristics match, but my dx is anxiety and depression. I left my narc husband and then after a few months of him doing a stellar character assassination of me to anyone he could, I attempted suicide. While I was in the hospital recovering, he came in and had a meeting with the psych WITHOUT ME to push his agenda. And then he wondered why I wasn't interested in getting back together with him!

My ex claimed I was the narcissistic abusive one in the relationship. I don't think so buddy! But as is the way, he isolated me from my supports, actually turned my bestie against me too and soured my relationship with my mum and sister.
