People in my field makes 3x that at graduation, if my SO made 40k he'd better cook and clean. 5'8 is fine, not optimal but fine. Third point seems to be conjecture.

A job and hobbies is pretty barebones, no? Depends on what the job is (I’m a computer engineer) and whether the hobbies overlap with mine. A man who does drugs and fuckall is far below average. Is the average man an interesting person to talk to? Emotionally sensitive? Does he care about me as a person? Share my values?

What do people in third world countries have to do with this discussion? We’re talking about earning a living. Men in the developed world have been able to choose people they were attracted to for decades and women only recently.

Average man? I don’t know what you define as average, but if If a man does not add value into my life, why would I want to spend time and effort on our relationship? It’s better to be single. Edit: By value I mean enjoyment of his company, not height or money as many replies are assuming.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
