Back in what day? Most women from working class family worked and it has always been the case. Peasant women worked the field. Women throughout history have always worked, the women who could just stay at home where well to do to begin with. Women didn't suddenly get a new freedom its always been this way for the majority of women, the difference is that the wealthy women got more access to higher status jobs their husbands were working. No one was preventing women from being farm laborer's, and…

The way you speak that's how I know you dont know what your talking about or have limited experience. Once children reach a certain age they are in school and outside the home more than half the day. Past the age say 10 most kids are out playing with their friends, on playstation etc. when not in school. The workload significantly decreases as time goes on. At that point the mother can choose to work without it significantly affecting family. This stay at home mom stuff is not the norm, it has n…

This wrong. Even if women were paid for the work , house keepers and adjacent position jobs make very little. I never understood this concept of "unpaid" work. Its your household and your children. Even if you lived alone you would still have to cook, clean, etc. and its not like your doing it by hand either. There are washing machines, dishwashers, etc. Women act like this job is as hard as being a plumber, carpenter, ditch digger, or minimum wage worker, just stop.

I can tell you really are looking for answers, very detailed your explanation, my best guess is they were expecting you to try and make a move on one of them and when you didn't they gave up
