Guys, this problem is not localized to r/AITA. A woman practicing hypergamy is looked upon more favorably and considered normal in society moreso than a man doing the same thing.

It was a bit unnecessary IMO. Couric's view of and desire for feminism to be an equality movement (equality of opportunity at least) is much preferred to a superiority or social reconstructionist movement.

Court sentences are a product of humans who carry their own bias and prejudice. There is no institutional rule or structure that dictates harsher sentences for blacks or men.
