I feel like you have collapsed the definition of feminism into something monolithic, which couldn't be farther from the truth. I am very sorry that you had that experience. No one deserves to be molested, and I am sincerely sorry that that happened to you. As someone who is very involved in third and fourth wave feminism, I have participated in many forums/discussions about the idea of female on male rape, and have always percieved it to be a huge issue that society at large widely ignores. I know that there is a pretty high risk of blood clots for certain groups of women, which can be deadly, or if not, a lifelong issue. Like I said, for most people the benefits outweigh the risks, and the groups that are at risk for blood clots are a relatively small percentage, but it is there.

I think that all oral contraceptives have lasting side effects, they just don't like to point that out. It doesn't stop people from taking them, because I guess the risks are worth the benefits.
