Possibly. But as a woman who has been fat in the past I can honestly say that it seems mostly dietary to be in an acceptable shape. Of course there may be some outliers but the majority of women I know that are overweight are simply overweight through choice of food and unwillingness to not binge.

Couldn't agree more. I just meant that generally being slim as a woman is easy and acceptable. Men often have to work on their overall physique and things like muscle definition to be noticed. At least where I'm from anyway.

I find things like this disgusting. It can be extremely simple to stay in shape as a woman. All you need to do is not stuff your face with chocolate and other crap and do a little bit of exercising here and there. There's no need for all of this hamstering.

I absolutely adore Polyvore. I'm generally pretty good at coming up with my own outfits but it's definitely nice to have inspiration and to get help finding that missing piece that can complete an outfit. It may sound lazy but if in doubt I just put on a nice casual dress or jumper/sweater dress (if it's colder) with minimalist accessorizing as it can be a great and relatively effortless way to look good without having to worry if an entire outfit works.

Did he? It seems like all that happened is she shot him a glance of incredulity. She'll likely hamster away his disinterest and continue on unchanged. Maybe she will hamster away. I'd like to think that OP at least gave her enough food for thought for her to at least try to do something that would make her a better suitor for the "good men" that she wants, even if it is only something small.

This is exactly the point. These books, films, whatever all serve a single purpose and that's basically to just say "you're amazing regardless of your flaws, don't worry about anything and the perfect man will come running!". The problem is like you said it's often taken one step further to the point where young girls feel that playing the victim will raise their value and bring alphas running. Woman here: The main issue honestly is things like Twilight and other teen fiction that gets read growing up. Even I grew up thinking I was a special flower and no matter what I did I deserved the absolute best. These girls need to wake up and smell the shit that they're blinding themselves with. Good on you for making her realise that being born with a vagina does not give you a bye to get where you want to be in the gene pool.

You don't necessarily have to take it out. I've had my tongue ring since 14 and tattoos since 18 (23 now). Just be aware of how it affects the way people perceive you. If you're okay with that then feel free to keep them.

Definitely agree with you here. I have a lot of "friends" that are feminists and most of them find it absurd and actually berate the fact that that I actually enjoy being feminine, getting ready for night out and just simple things like wearing makeup (the horror!). I'm not sure if they intentionally want "equal access to the hottest guys" but they definitely want to have a completely level playing field without doing any of the leg work.
