I found a new support group. The first rule is you’re not supposed to talk about it and the second rule is you’re not supposed to talk about it.

No. One of the ways I differ from this sub a lot is everytime I go outside I see women getting approached constantly.

I don’t see this. I see men fighting tooth and nail for top 50% and being willing to settle below that sometimes.

I always wondered about those stats. They seem incredibly wildly low to me. Also in addition almost every woman I know halves (or more) thier number until they really feel comfortable and are prodded about it.

okay i agree with you on that. I was just responding to like "only unserious loser people can't figure this out", which is like not my experience. For the friend thing, Yeah making friends is easy, getting people to be social is a wholeeee different beast. Its like pulling teeth to get 4-5 people to co-ordinate on getting together for dinner. I think especially as people get older they don't have the social drive and are totally cool just chilling at home more often, and so it takes quite a bit …

I've been kind of having a crisis because by most conventional metrics i'm doing great. I have a good career. I make new friends easily and have lots of friends, and a national friend circle. I have a lot of freedom, and do a lot of activities. I am most of the things people say a person should be. Other people overwhelmingly describe me as kind even though i don't try to be that. I'm not even kind of close to romantically bonding with anyone. I haven't had a romantic relationship in 15 years, a…

i made like 100 friends this year. Its not hard just introduce yourself to people around you, and if they want to talk with you they will. I literally need to figure out some sort of friend tracking software because i'm forgetting so many people.

are you saying that even though things can appear this way its not actually true,or are you just saying its disgusting to say it? Also i'm not blaming anyone. I'm saying some people appear to attract and tolerate it in ways that don't make logical sense assuming they have normal levels of adult autonomy.

wait what is wrong with this? I agree with that guy it seems like some subset of women do like and encourage this? I don't know the numbers. I think this person is probably a bit hyperbolic referring to all women as a category, and it could even be a minority, but for sure a person can look around and see this playing out around them pretty easily. (also i like that you are adamantly pushing your viewpoint i think its a good one)

i have seen women complaining about this alot on a different app. I think women just can't tell. only like 1% of approaches are full on "hi you're beautiful will you go on a date with me". However, from my point of view it looks like women are constantly approached. especially lately i've had a string of being almost immediately interrupted by another man also expressing interest when i approach a woman in public and strike up conversation. Its crazy out here, i have no clue how people could be …

from my perspective it seems like people can very rarely tell the difference. Also since i can't make top level comment, sarcastic humor and bad driving seem like obvious warning signs to me, but i don't know anything about what people want so what do i know.

you are even more black pill than me, we should be friends. tell me more about these stages? i'm approaching or in midlife, realized i don't emotionally connect with anyone, and thats probably why i been romantically alone for over a decade. Been trying to figure out why for the past year. I"m circling back around to , everyone sucks i don't give a shit, emotions are a waste of time, and i'm kind of fearing it. i made a comment about this consumer mindset towards connection in this subreddit recently. I agree with you.
/r/PurplePillDebate27/05/25 05:13 PM

one thing i've been realizing lately thats absolutely mind blowing, is almost every woman believes they were abused by a narcassist.
/r/PurplePillDebate23/05/25 10:24 PM
1

kind of agree with this. I think both sexes in the US have become absolutely crazed with a consumerist sort of mindset towards relationships. you see this taken to crazy extremes in places like LA and NYC, where human connection can't exist for its own sake outside of a consumer vision of self. I dunno something like that. I don't think i expressed it well. This also causes a feedback loop of "who am i, what do i want, what do other people want" where connection is super tightly coupled to socia…

i kind of don't care about this debate much because i don't know anything about it, but your comment really made me laugh. "I cannot be someone's therapist". i get it but it also makes me laugh.
/r/PurplePillDebate22/05/25 06:21 PM
1

i laughed because i agree with you. a) i think its cultural. the 'western woman' meme is real. b) men are maybe even worse. also, entitlement, vanity, selfishness, all these are actually strengths. The same way masculine aggression and boundry violation is actually a strength. Its goofy but its reality.

the people on this subreddit are tripping. I think guys have a thing where actually below average women are invisible to us, while above average women are hyper visible to us. It creates a fake impression of what average is.

yeah you clarified. I'm just saying, just going by how others talk i think i'm relatively pretty confident, but i've never noticed anyone reacting to it, male or female or other.

lol no. The only humor I employ is sarcasm.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 07:57 AM
1

I don't really get the confidence thing. I don't think i've ever looked in a mirror and thought i looked ugly. I don't think anyone is better that me. I would say I am very comfortable with myself. I've never noticed this having any effect on other people.
/r/PurplePillDebate06/08/22 07:43 AM
1

i dunno, now that i think of it, i knew a dude who was relatively good looking and was like a VP at a company and probably made decent money, but somehow he was aware that he was very dumb, and he was clearly very unconfident about being very dumb. Which now i think of it is kind of strange. Usually dumb people don't know or care they're dumb, but he was kind of paranoid about it.

I don't know if most guys are like this, but i think almost every woman is attractive. I thought mens standards in general were pretty low. surely like 75% of women not older than me are attractive. I think men are waaaaaay less specific than you think.

its not a logic thing, or even a reward thing. It doesn't matter how good or bad it is, its just brain chemical compulsion, and i assume for most young men is incredibly high. in terms of compulsion, below drinking water or breathing, but surely comparable to eating food.

Who knows its some caveman brain thing. There is no personal logic to it. Someone elsewhere in the comments said they said dudes care about 'emotional cheating'. I can hardly even imagine what that is, and if I didn't think they were fucking, i would probably be glad if my partner had some super close best friend, or even lots of them. I can barely conceive of what emotional cheating would be, much less care about it.

Uhhh, i dunno, when i hang out with my female friends they get approached 1-2 times per hour in public places. Literally any time i move more than 20ft away from them some dude is walking up and saying hello.

uhm, so there are two things kind of conflated here. Its possible to have a platonic relationship while also wanting to have sex with someone. bruh i don't know the minds of all men, i just have the suspicion from my own feelings and looking at the people around you that you may be wrong about what men in general feel. Like, the cardinal social rule of being a man is don't express what you feel, something to consider.

as before, i challenge you to make a catfish profile somewhere online. I have done so and it was eye opening. shit or just ask your female friends that have brains and don't care about pity/attention seeking, that is also what i did and it was also eye opening. edit: i'm sorry i forgot where i was going with the cultural difference in interpretation of sexual assault. My point was i don't think the number of gang rapes is a subjectively shaded number across the whole world.
/r/PurplePillDebate08/04/20 05:52 PM
4

a) i feel like you're talking about something very specific not necessarily related to my post (my post being about the universality of groping, being followed while walking, being stalked online and in real life.) b) the perception of assault seems like something would vary across cultures, and it does! sweden being the famous example. it seems like objective assault is pretty common though, also across cultures. i don't believe my friends fetishize victimhood. None of them even mentioned it until i specifically asked, and for them it was a normal and default way of living in a 1st world country.

i started asking my female friends and all of them said they had been groped, followed, stalked. Thats pretty fucked up. As a guy thats very hard to imagine, and i was floored it appears to be universal.

I don't know if social media is changing this for younger people, but IMO men don't judge themselves harshly on appearance. I only think about what I look like when i'm getting ready to leave the house, and then after that I mostly don't think about my appearance. I know i'm not good looking, but its not something that bothers me.

Its not the same, a lot more people die and are hurt by public roads. Roads are much worse.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/20 08:18 AM
4

You dont want to pay for abortions. I dont want to pay for roads. You compared the deaths from abortions with the deaths from roads, but your anecdotal story about your day failed to capture the real number of deaths from public roads. Why should I have to pay for people to die on public roads? Why do you support it? We can do a deep dive on the economics issue, but I'd prefer if we could just agree there are alternatives to roads, and the private sector can fill in the gaps.
/r/PurplePillDebate12/01/20 07:43 AM

nah, public roads decrease economic benefit because of their inefficiencies. Far more people die from public roads every year than there are people getting abortions. More than triple. You're just a communist who doesn't care about life.

He said he would be okay with once a month and that this is the reality of many men, who would rather just hug their woman then have sex with her, years into the relationship.
