It's not true. Stems from one Professor writing a book and making the claim, which was later outed as bullshit. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Dolan_(behavioural_scientist) Vox highlighted the case as an example of “books by prestigious and well-regarded researchers go[ing] to print with glaring errors, which are only discovered when an expert in the field […] gets a glance at them", noting that "books are not subject to peer review."

This isn't true. Some professor/researcher said this, another professor called him out for misinterpreting the data, and then he scaled back his claims. Theres literally a section on it on his wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Paul_Dolan_(behavioural_scientist) Vox highlighted the case as an example of “books by prestigious and well-regarded researchers go[ing] to print with glaring errors, which are only discovered when an expert in the field […] gets a glance at them", noting that …

Sure. But don't be surprised when another woman comes by who has more to offer in the physical attraction regard, or another man comes by with deeper pockets for you. Fundamentally, relationships built on superficial things probably aren't going to be very good or last long. I'm not gonna argue that it shouldn't be a factor at all, it's a completely valid thing to want. I just think you reap what you sow in that regard, and women who don't give a shit about personality or anything else, and are …

Not really. From BLS, the average salary for a plumber and electrician is 56k. Yes, of course there are rich plumbers and electricians, but it's the exception, not the norm. https://www.bls.gov/ooh/construction-and-extraction/electricians.htm https://www.bls.gov/ooh/construction-and-extraction/plumbers-pipefitters-and-steamfitters.htm

I would rather just know how much someone makes, as that dictates your standard of living. Even the starving artist with a trust fund will be pulling in hundreds of thousands through investments. People can classify themselves wrongly, it's not an objective measure. I know a bunch of people who make 400k and still call themselves middle class, where pretty much everyone else would list them as upper-middle. Whereas money is objective.

ever is a better statistic, because not everyone's single and using an app. If you just take the percent that are using it at any one time, it's not a good picture because some people literally aren't single or just don't want to date/hookup. Then you have to find the percentage of young adults dating/looking to date to find the true percentage of people on the dating market that are using an OLD. Pew says 41% of 18-29 year olds are single. Not perfectly compatible with our statistic, but I thin…

Peep the recent studies on sunscreen being absorbed into your bloodstream. Sunscreen manufacturers basically do no testing of their products. If you have no melanin, sure use sunscreen. But I'll stay away from it. https://www.webmd.com/skin-problems-and-treatments/news/20200121/fda-skin-absorbs-dangerous-sunscreen-chemicals Regular exercise is step one. Housing is the most interesting one for me. Many of our (Gen Z here) parents now have houses that have appreciated massive amounts from when they bought. The question is, what happens to them when they die? Will they be sold or passed down? I think its very possible we'll see two classes of people: ones who had passed down property, and another who is eternally stuck renting.

Thanks, that second source looks better, but again, it's a short article from 2006. I only 'dug up dirt' because I've had someone cite it in the past, and looked up the author's wikipedia. I'm skeptical because a bunch of other sources say that getting married is attributed to longer life. HUMANS are not built to be alone. Nope, here's how it usually goes: I sometimes get model's pictures on my recommended page, click the profile, and see that my friends are following them, because Instagram clearly tells you. To me, it's fine if you look, there's no public sign. (watching porn in private) If you're following or like the pictures, other people know (watching porn in public). I'm just super judgy with people's online profiles.
/r/PurplePillDebate28/06/21 08:08 PM
1

yup. Obviously ones more extreme than another, but its the same idea to me. I judge people heavy who follow models on insta. like Kendall Jenner or following a couple actual popular models are one thing, but like if you're following a bunch of girls who posts nothing but ass pics, that's another.

I agree, I would never be in a relationship someone who didn't let me use their phone, and I would let them use mine as well. I probably wouldn't seriously go through it or anything, but being sus about it is a major red flag to me.

I said it was weird initially, and that's the reason. I mean like who you follow is public, your friends can see that you're following models on Instagram.

Problem with no solution. I think most people know and recognize it's an issue, but the possible solutions are absurd at best. How do women even find out that he watches porn? Seems like trivial thing to hide. But following Instagram models is hella weird and the amount of guys defending it in here is weird too.

This might work if you're in a massive city and theres tons of options. If you ask out 3 girls a day, you're gonna get a reputation if you have any sort of social circle.

From wikipedia: A primary goal was to teach students to acquire husbands. Wasn't finishing school literally a thing to make women more appealing for men because they weren't going to work? Idk, the whole 'leveling up' thing doesn't exactly mesh with idea of becoming more ladylike just to please men. Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't that make finishing school kind of a place that turns women into pickmes?

They talk about manipulating men, and then claim they want the best guys. I have no issue with the core idea of women being pickier or not accepting subpar efforts. That's my main beef with it, it's just the hypocritical takes that bother me. Like they're encouraging women to play the craziest games, and then expecting to get good men out of it. I promise you that any remotely smart man worth anything will realize he's being manipulated and toyed with.

I pretty much only whip it out when someone tries to imply women need specifically men as partners to not be lonely. It makes sense, but you don't need to say 'Idk there was one study, I believe...' when you haven't actually found a shred of proof or evidence that backs it up. Just give your take on it or correct the OP's implication. Imma take a stab at an answer on the women's side. Eyes are very important. Droopy eyes are really bad, upwards pointing like kendall jenner is traditionally attractive, and you can see that evidenced in women's makeup as well. Symmetry is big, and proportions as well. The whole Kim Kardashian divorce has got me blackpilled. Why are women still getting with dudes just for the fame, status, etc. I mean obviously having money is nice, but what good is it if they dump 4 children on you and then disappear? Indian men is not a race either, it's a nationality. It is though? Are indian-american men not indian? What race are they then? So many people in America have been here for multiple generations, and to be discriminated against because of their country's culture is straight-up racism. Agree, but racism isn't cool. It isn't hard to find clearly racist shit all over FDS, and I absolutely abhor that kind of stuff. You can prefer a race, but stop categorizing minorities and writing derogatory racist shit about entire races based off your interactions with a few bad ones. FDS claims they don't want toxic, racist men, and then turns around and says they think an entire race is worthless because they met a creepy one once. The definition of hate.

No, good pictures have a big effect. You can take Leonardo DiCaprio, put him in baggy basketball shorts and a unkempt haircut, some cringe ass selfies, and not get a single match. Likewise, you can take an average person, put them in tailored suits, perfect fades, porsches, pictures with models, and get tons of matches. It's mostly about image and presentation. Nobody wants someone who has no friends and no life, regardless of how 'attractive' they are.

Yeah, I think face can matter a lot. Like a good face can pretty much save anything else. I don't give a rat's ass about a woman having a bad body (to a limit, I admit) if her face is attractive to me. I think a bad face can absolutely destroy you, and a good face can save you.
