Yes, I dated a girl for 5 years, with an 8 month break in there somewhere. We got back together and moved in with each other. That was it for me. I felt like there was more to life than the relationship offered and broke up with her. She was heartbroken and thought we were going to marry. I had checked out of the relationship so I couldn't find any path to get back with her. I met my ex wife 6 months later and was married to her for about 19 years.

Yes, it’s part of that romance movie they keep playing in their head when they break up with the guy that has busted his ass his whole adult life to provide them the new cars, nice homes and all the travel and goods they constantly ask for. They wonder why he’s not rainbow and butterflies for them anymore cause he doesn’t have time and he’s packing the weight of supporting himself and 4 other people while she complains and lives a life of pure drama 24/7. As you can tell I’m a little bitter bein…

I am 44, was 43 when we separated and my wife gave me I love you but I’m not in love with you speech. We have 3 kids, she was 36 at the time, they are 18, 13 and 5. It will get better. No contact, other than kids stuff is the trick. Get into therapy as soon as possible. Get support, friends, family etc and create new routines and do things that time wouldn’t allow while married. Start working out and eating right if you don’t already and push forward. Life stands still for no one. When you feel …

Well some mom’s are great and take care and nurture their kids but those chasing the cock carousel and trying to make up for their lost 20s are not. I was raised by a loving single mom. Sure she had her problems but her life was about raising her kids. My STBEW is not that and doesn’t seem to want to spend any time of value with her kids and has told them they are burdened and called them stupid many times. I am fighting like hell for joint custody and equal visitation. They deserve a place they…

Interview him or her like they are auditioning for a job. I went with a highly regarded attorney in my area based on people whom used him and who he was pitted against and he was highly recommended. I gave him $2800 and as of yet haven’t seen what all the fuss was about. There are basic questions out on google to interview an attorney as well as questions of your on personal stuff. But make sure you see a couple of attorneys and don’t go with just the first one you meet before you settle.

I don’t know if I could handle photos. The thought of having pictures of her that I can look back on would be very painful.

I left during the separation and wish I had not due to financial constraints since I’m 90 plus % of the income. Im paying for 2 homes now. I’m now moving to a 1317 sq ft apartment to start my life over. However, if the marriage was sacred to you then I personally would not stay in the same home. The memories will not go away and the pain of being in a home shared by your lover would be too much for me. Hell Im considering giving her everything in the house besides my computer stuff, workout stuf…

I’m from KY but I also moved out. Stayed with my brother and have a lease I’m getting ready to sign. My advise, never leave the home I wish I hadn’t. She may want it but you’re entitled to split of any equity and once you leave it sets a precedent about returning unless you’re ok with just walking away. My situation may be different but I’m paying the entire mortgage and it’s in my name only and my STBEW is camped out and not cleaning it. She broke several things since I left (window, garage doo…

To get away from the fighting. Leavint is a mistake I learned the hard way. Once you leave, you've set a precedent and coming back is more than likely going to end up bad. EPO or worse. I should have stayed but my once quite home was a pressure cooker at the time. Been living with my brother and sister in law for about a month now. They own a 7000 square foot house so even with their 3 kids we are not tripping over each other. However, legally I'm probably stuck and will have to live somewhere e…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
