IT's doubly bullshit in IT fields like programming. The rough estimate is 6 months for a new employee. For that time they'll be effectively less than fully useful on a project, and they'll be sucking up someone elses time to get fully effective and up to speed.

This sounds like you're a few years ahead of where I want to be. as an addition to this for the above poster don't go getting an expensive project first, if you want to go ahead and flip some sorta rusted cheaper cars ( depending on your local market ). You'll be able to say patch a few rust holes on a subaru then sell it for a break even with the point of it being to learn the trade on something where it doesn't matter if you fuck up.

ehhh get a safety razor / double edge razor and buy the worlds fucking sharpest and cheapest blades for life. Seriously, the most expensive blades are feathers and its 30$ for 100 blades. More reasonably you can get voskhod blades from Russia for ~8$/100 on ebay. I change a blade once a month.. ish.. sometimes they go further than that...

Imo, and I've wasted hours talking with friends about this, but GTA 5 is over rated while also being very close to an amazing game. Everything in the game is too simplistic to have real depth. There are a lot of men who really enjoy when someone takes an interest in something they have knowledge and skill in, and that person genuinely wants to learn. Think about something you're good at, if another guy walks up, says "hey you're really good at that, care to tell me the basics?" chances are is that you'll give them a quick rundown on it. about the only thing I think I could better there would be to drop the granola cereal. Depending on the type that stuff can have loads of sugar added and I've never found a cereal I liked as much as steel cut oats. Dude 10-15 minutes? I envy that refocus time. For me it's probably closer to 30 minutes to really get back in the groove. Either way i really only ever get there once/twice per week due to the steady pace of noises, people opening doors, etc. I've done a few code projects at home on my own. A 13 hour stint of just getting in the zone and riding that thought process train the whole time is more satisfying and productive than two 8 hour days at work.
