I was on the verge of homelessness after my boyfriend of 15 years died November 2020, loss of income, loss of a house as it was transferred to sister from trust of the parents, unable to find housing I could afford alone especially during covid. You obviously have a big heart! Kind, sympathetic. I guess most people think you can't have attraction for someone unless they have a house? She most likely is embarrassed by her current situation and does not feel worthy of an admirer. Talk to her, ask why she is in the situation that she is in, if it's just unfortunate then tell her how you feel and that you would like to get to know her better.
