(where, mind you, I was treated far less judgmentally). This is VERY true. When the girls was younger they were obviously taken into the mens room as well ("eyes on the floor..") No man had ever once judged me for having them in the washroom.. Yet simply standing outside the woman's washroom will get you dirty looks? The double standards/hypocrisy is appaling. Many times I've been in a mens change area and had women waiting for their kids, thought nothing of it. Try being a man and going to a ki…

I have ZERO issue creating a scene in public if I know I'm right. Trust me.. I am the same but I often force myself not to say anything because of the few times I did, my daughters were not happy with it ;) Personally, if you want to stare at me because I'm a good dad watching my kids swimming or whatever you should be told to fuck off and mind your own business. If they did not want to be told to fuck off, they should have simply minded their own business. But the lashing from a 6 year old abou…

Agreed - I generally mind my own business, and just think they should do the same. It is a major double standard in society. Like if some mother takes her son clothes shopping no man cares that a woman is outside the mens change rooms. But if single father takes his daughters to go clothes shopping and waits outside the change rooms.. now the looks start... As a man I've stepped outside the change area plenty of times to see a number of women there and thought nothing of it. I've also received p…

I feel you man. It is a joke. The line is "absent father", yet when fathers are involved then it is kidnapping or assumptions of inappropriate behaviour? No one assumed that the woman there were stalking children, why is that the assumption because I am standing in a waiting area for my two daughters? Can't win for losing.

Even as a father I was given that label while taking care of my own daughter, it's pretty bad This!! I have two daughters and a son. Many times I had to take the girls to things and others (Almost always other mothers) would glare at me, etc. Like F-off.. I have my own daughters here and I'm watching them swim.. You saw them when they noticed me and waved and I waved back?? Maybe try focusing on your child in the pool more, and staring at me less? It is worse when it is time to use the washrooms…

Depending where you live, you may be able to file a human rights complaint. Schools are considered "public space" and the government has full reach to them under human rights complaints.

Every time Pearl tried to center it back to "women's rights", they just continued their "what about me and my special rights" crap. Pearl and Sydney were decent, the other members should feel a great sense of shame for how they made "women's rights advocates" look.

This is one of those things you watch, then realize that youtube and such have a "block" feature and you can use this on "Vice" and never see their BS in the future. Very little had anything to do with "women rights" - it was just a bunch of drama queens playing "i'm the bigger victim". Classic moment is when Pearl asks for examples and the one woman responds "as a woman or a woman of colour". FFS.. you are on a woman's rights panel, obviously "as a woman". She also responds that she cant answ…

again as u/mikesteane said.. keep detailed records. Print relevant emails, keep a notebook and write down dates/times of when things took place. If it was a verbal conversation, recap the conversation via email and print it for your records. "Steve, Just wanted to follow up on our verbal conversation. These were the points discussed: - a - b these were the actions agreed: - c -d let me know if i have missed anything Thanks, YOU " remove all emotions, keep it professional and be diligent with y…

I find "equality" movements are never about equality but about special treatment/special rights/affirmative action, etc. Lets look at a few: "lgbtq2s+ rights" - They never should have been mistreated from the start. That was 100% wrong because whatever two consenting adults do is no ones business but theirs. If not for religious nutjobs pushing their views on others they probably would have been left alone. Now we have "lgbtq2s+ rights" movements. Fine, they should have legal protection the same…

They just don't want to get sued or have something go to the press that tarnishes their reputation. Contact them sometime. Watching them gaslight you is amusing as F. They literally will kill you with kindness "we hear your concerns and take them very seriously" while not doing a single thing about it. Their job is to protect the company, anyone who thinks otherwise either works for HR or has never contacted one with an actual issue.

I'm actually working on a book based on my experiences with multinationals. I have a chapter around how "HR is not your friend". I seriously hope NO ONE believes HR serves any other purpose besides what you listed.

as u/TendieDinner777 posted.. try raising questions to them about gender equality sometime. I did, they flat out ignored me as well. Simply pretended not to see my multiple emails on the issue, not a single response.

We are equally mortified and shocked. We stand there with our mouths open and hope to end the conversation quickly. Later, we discuss what the f is wrong with people that would allow them to make a wild assumption like that and actually SAY it. I'ts happened with both my daughters (alone, the two were not with me at the same time). The other was only 18 at the time. You know how if you see a woman and you are not sure if see's pregnant or not your best best is to say nothing.. it should apply he…

I'm with you on this one. I'm separated and have 3 kids (two girls and a son). My daughters live with me and we do a lot together, including grocery shopping, etc. How would you feel if you are a 47 year old male and are at Costco with your 20 year old daughter and some stranger strikes a conversation with you and says "you make a cute couple"? WTF? Cant a father/daughter go shopping together anymore? Is that some "mother/daughter only" thing? If you are not sure, why not just say nothing at all…

Not everyone is caught up in this whole "movement". I've got 3 kids (one boy, 2 girls) aged 20-24. Given you have a son, i will speak a bit from my daughters perspective. Both ignore these "fads", they dress like women, do 'girl things' and are happy with their identify. They were not taught that girls are good/boys are bad, etc and they have had the benefit of a brother growing up so they see things from the male perspective as well. They want someone who listens to them, respects them and thei…

Here's a thought for you.. How many men actually like women in makeup in the first place? I've never been a fan of makeup (I prefer natural beauty). My ex would still spend a TON of time putting makeup on when we went out. Who was she doing this for given she was well aware I preferred her without it? Maybe he doesn't like makeup, maybe it isn't a feminine/masculinity any more then why you would be unwilling to go outside wearing a set of construction clothes and workboats? If he is is willing t…

My brother is a firefighter captain of a Canadian city. He told me that the city has spent millions "accommodating" women firefighters. From separate "sleeping accommodations", washrooms, etc. They have been trying (unsuccessfully) for years to attract women to the ranks, but fail to understand women don't want to do these jobs, and therefor don't apply. After millions of tax dollars flushed away, they remain male-only. The testing is my brothers biggest concern. Not only are the tests far eas…

The media sure had their blinders on with her.. they so wanted to believe that a 20ish dropout is going to "disrupt" blood testing which employed hundreds of licensed professionals and was not able to improve things? This "disruptive" fad really only applies to "net new" things "facebook" or "netflix" and making improvements for services (better online banking, "amazon", etc). Re-inventing chemistry? Bit of a stretch...

Her boyfriend/husband/"potential future abuser" is also very wealthy and now she has a kid. Should she go to jail if found guilty - Yes Will she - I'm going to guess she is going to get a "special deal". probation, community service, a "token" amount of time in protective custody jail with other rich white-collar criminals.

Dont know what that dude was thinking when they posted this is legal in Canada. at the federal level it is not, and i dont want to spend a bunch of time checking provincial guidelines because i am 99% sure they agree with the federal rules. Thanks for confirming other provinces do indeed have similar rules.

Source? this is 100% illegal here in Canada, and the federal and provincial human rights documents both updated to clearly state that "affirmative rights" programs do not supersede these rights. Federal guidelines: " Equality rights – section 15Equality before and under law and equal protection and benefit of law15. (1) Every individual is equal before and under the law and has the right to the equal protection and equal benefit of the law without discrimination and, in particular, without discr…

This is basic human nature, and a disturbing trend since the 1990's when society was taken over by "special interest groups" and everyone attempts to appease them or jump on the bandwagon. Years ago the union representing telephone operators sued because the operators (mostly women) were paid less than lineworkers (mostly men). One job involves sitting in a heated/air-conditioned office all day answering the phones, the other involves climbing telephone poles in the rain, snow, ice, etc. The cou…

Don't forget the other side of this, the remakes/recastings. The Equalizer - 2021 - Robyn McCall, and her daughter Delilah The Equalizer - 1985 - Robert McCall, and his son Scott. WTF?

you are aware that many jobs in the military are low-risk, correct? Cooks, Dr's, logistics, bureaucrats, etc. No one should be on the streets begging in any "first world" nation, but playing the "Vet" card is overused. Police/firefighters "put their lives on the line" as well, but also get a good retirement package. Maybe the real issue is the government doesn't take care of "vets" the way the police/fire are taken care of?

No, i am not "mad" at her for anything. Autism is now like "gluten free". Everyone seems to have an autisitic kid.
