Yup and the Russians could threaten the civilian populace which at this point would be mostly women, in order to force the armed forces to co-ordinate a defense at a spot of the Russian general's choosing. You have a better chance of winning if you just get the women out of the way. Put them in the back line or something but no matter what you do they're just a weakness you have to protect. Doesn't matter how you spin it.

Speaking logically. there would be more men seeking women than women seeking men, because women are only fertile for a while, while men are always fertile and desire younger women. Women pass the age of fertility are also assumed taken. You quickly run into a situation where a 20, 25, 30 and 50yr old guys are all competing for one 21yr old woman. The opposite exists but in my experience much rarer.
