Because I don't mow the lawn, clean the gutters, build a garden (raised beds, fence, plant it, weed it, water it, harvest from it), plant a bunch of fruit brearing trees, fix things around the house, replace outlets, switches, put a subpanel in and run new electrical outlets in the basement so there's not just 1 outlet down there anymore, clean the chimney, etc, etc, etc. Get real.

If you have good critical thinking skills and like technology, I'd start looking into IT. Reason being, you can land a great job with no degree a lot of the time, meaning you start your life in 0 debt (assuming you have to pay for college). You don't understand how big of a deal that is. I know people who will be paying their loans back for 20-30 years. AND without a woman to distract you and steal your time and resources, you can go far. This exactly. Have a solid plan if you do end up doing college. Don’t go and try to “figure out what I want to do.” I say don’t step foot in the door until you know. I’ve seen this one backfire way too many times. People start going into double majors/minors, etc., because of this. $$$ Trades make you bank with little time and money investment. I highly recommend them, although I’m not in one.

Sidenote: Girlfriend didn’t live with me, we just stayed over at each other’s places all the time. I wish I could get a dog personally, but the roommate is allergic to them. I also work 3 and 4 12 hour days every other week, so it would be extremely difficult to take care of. Love my German Shepherds! Had them my entire life. Once I get a house to myself, hopefully in a year or two, that’s one of the first things I’m getting.
