I remember hearing about it in an Intro to Psychology class, apparently it's commonly used by psychologists, cops, etc to elicit additional information. My first quarter in college I took a psychology class which led to purchasing one of his books as reference for a paper. I sold the book for the class, but kept his book as reference.
