I work in Engineering, not really sure where you want me to work that isn’t mostly run by men. Most of the women I have worked with where HVW who have had to work hard against misogyny, we persevere because we love the job.

Everyone in my family apart from my Mum is very supportive of it, they all know how miserable my last relationship was and would rather I was single and happy than in another similar type of relationship. My Dad absolutely loves FDS, but he is a HVM so no shocker there. My mum is supportive of me not wanting to date LVMs, however she thinks the vetting strategy is too harsh. She’s naive and believes everyone deserves a chance to explain themselves and that I’m “rejecting men for petty reasons”. …

My Dad is a HVM, when my Mum was younger she had an accident at work and was mostly bed bound for 7 years. My Dad took on the roll of both parents, gave up any social life and hobbies he had to look after my Mum and me and my siblings. He got the qualifications he needed to take a higher paying job to account for a wage loss and shielded me and my siblings from the worst of what was happening. My Dad has never complained or “bragged” about how good he was, he simply was a good man. When I talk t…

I missed whatever the original comment was, but FDS completely supports engagement after about 1 year. It’s in the FAQs: https://www.reddit.com/r/FemaleDatingStrategy/wiki/faqs?utm_source=share&utm_medium=ios_app&utm_name=iossmf Anyone who disagrees has not read the handbook, sis you have done well and I couldn’t be happier for you! Ignore anyone who says different and obviously keep vetting, but you’ve done nothing wrong and according to FDS’s own handbook this is the right timeline.

Well my brother said he knew from being 16 that they were going to get married but could neither afford an engagement ring or thought it was sensible to get engaged at that age. He felt a promise ring was a nice gesture and she loved it. They got married 5 years later as soon as he could afford what he felt she deserved for the engagement ring and wedding.

My brother got his now wife one when they were still in school - I.e way too young to get engaged lol. I think as another commenter pointed out they are for teenagers, post turning 18 they are a sign of a LVM who wants to have his cake and eat it too.

I feel this, I’ve been single since me and my ex broke up 20 months ago but life is so much better. My family and friends have noticed how much happier I am and I’m really in no rush to find someone new. Being single is 1000x better than being with a LVM / NVM.

I can’t vibe with this enough, my ex was terrible but I justified all his bad behaviours thinking he was hurt after his previous break up. Turns out it was him who left her and everything he told me was just lies. Left his ass 1.5 years ago after 4 long years and have never looked back.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
