Sounds like a pincer move from Tenet. An ultimatum on one side, and the constant drip on the other. Seems she started off with the love bombing (including great sex) and you think it will come back if you work harder. Lol lolmfao. You are 40 years old. Do not let someone pressure you or use you or break you. At 41 she likely has tighter timelines and obviously you are not it else you would not write a thesis. Also, women are much more intelligent emotionally than men. It does not mean you are st…

Speak to a lawyer and see about prenuptials and such. If you are too scared go even bring up topic of prenuptial, then you will be too scared to ask when she tells you she is hanging out with Mike and Jamal and if you complain you are jealous or insecure.

Do not let her leave clothing. Speak to a lawyer because on some states and countries that cohabitation is just like marriage.

It is difficult. My only recommendation is to accept the truth that you need help. Get a therapist you are comfortable with as soon as possible. You are too close and too programmed to see anything. If you have not got a lawyer, get a lawyer. As my lawyers and therapists taught me to me -(1) the law has nothing to do with the church or religious ceremony, (2) there is nothing on the marriage contract (go take a look at yours) that says anything about good behavior, (3) women usually have everyth…

Exactly, I just posted this. I failed to get one early and we were playing catchup. Get a lawyer and get a PI as well. Get all the information you can. Most idiot men usually get married when they are getting stuff together (new raise coming, saved enough for major life purchases) and soon after marrying start the projects they have put off. Many wise women have a plan as well because the system favors them and they initiate most and initiate and plan first. My ex planned hers for almost 2 years…

I messed up because I did not get a lawyer until too late because I wanted to be a good father and I thought the vows meant something and I was trying till the end. The damage to you is likely going to be hundreds of thousands of dollars (not factoring in lost time, damage to work, cost to get therapy and other impacts). Why not spend a few 10s of thousands to fix it? Do not sign anything without getting 2 lawyers to see it. Borrow if you have to because the cost is high. FYI - many divorce lawy…

Do not skimp out on the attorney or crack lawyer. Women generally have the courts and systems on their side so accept you are playing catchup. If she makes more, she will bring bigger guns. Go for all and establish a strong position (because she likely has already done this) so you are only catching up. Go an as many channels and read about as much as you can because you probably are doing g the chivalry thing so you need to snap out of it. Get your records together and try to learn all their tr…

No kids? Praise God or universe and celebrate. As you can see from the posts, if she says she is done, she is done. Do not try to convince her, ask people to convince her, or do the "pick me" dance. You were her backup plan and she is bored. She is looking to see if she can do better. Do not make mistake of continuing to have sex with her else she will make a baby and put you on the hook for rest of your life. Sadly, you are just a tool she used to get her wedding or tell friends she also got pr…

I do not think you can assume he married in bad faith. Womrn initiate majority of divorces, majority get more than they put in, majority keep the children, and minority are affected long term (as most women plan it). Joining reddit , seeing social media, looking around at my friends, I would look at a post nup. Chances of being screwed is high so better he is raising the issue now than to play games.

Welcome to womanhood x pro max 2020. I hope it turns out well and all I advise is to get therapy and a very good lawyer. I do not think it will help much but you have to know that she has had this planned out for years and you have a month or a few months to figure it out. If you think the terms are hefty, wait until you actually start paying. I am of the view that marriage should become a contract where the various terms and benefits are described and all (the same way you go to a company) and …

Prostitution is legal in some countries. It is not an okay job but my point is that you have no control over her or right to ask her to do anything. If you speak to a good lawyer they will tell you that. What your right is, is to get a lawyer and see if that will help your case in future. If it will, you see what can be done.

You need a therapist. A lot of anger and stuff. Try to get over it. Time helps. Also, she is who she is and not your business. Even if she became a prostitute (which I think should be legal globally as human right) it is still her business andnnone of yours. Do your part and build yourself and take care of the child/children.

Therapist and crack lawyer. From your wife behavior, I think you need a smart female lawyer (who can understand and help you plan it out). Usually, women are more intelligent and plan it out for years so you need to catch up fast. Be careful any lingering hopes and feelings does not stop you from doing what has to be done. Get serious.

For my current wife, we did therapy before it got serious. I have a fair idea what she wants and so on. I am not a therapist. You sound smart so I am sure you can work it out. Get an excel sheet and tally what you want and let her do same. Each person put importance ratings next to each (e.g. 10 is most important and 0 is unimportant). Then put a current satisfaction rating next to it. For example, sexual positions, importance 7/10, current level 4/10. Do another set of sheets for what you think…

Therapist usually looks at the numbers. Do not get married or make commitments until (1) both are vetted (no big red flags and due diligence done) (2) honeymoon phase is done and both are behaving and acting normally and (3) you know yourself On the 3rd point, if you are healed and settled then I do not know why not. Just mind the first part. Also, I would recommend reforming or strengthening work, friendship, yourself and family before bringing someone. Your therapist help you set some goals in…

Dear Menz, Stop letting the wife take children to her parents. Always insist children go to your parents and side of the family. This is one of the key steps women have been taking on path to divorce. Break that sh#t up. Also, go for full custody. Once the parents are on her side of family, game over.

What this person said. Get a cracking lawyer. Go for full custody and pull all the stops but keep it clean. Women usually are emotionally intelligent than men and usually plan separation and divorce years ahead. Watch your data or documents and start compiling for her. Go all out and know you did best for your child.

If your lawyer sucks, fire him or her and get one who understands you. I made mistake in my own case where the lawyer thought I came from famous name family (intellectual types but not money rich). If there is a child involved, sometimes you think you can even give half your income to support child but it goes to the mother and her lifestyle. Make sure you fight for full or shared custody and get a lawyer who fully supports that. For justice, it is okay to spent even a year or 2 salary to fight …

What this says. You are in love with a mirage or an idea. See a therapist and get sorted out (reddit is nice but not a therapist). You are 37. You will be fine. Keep your head up, get some life goals (usual stuff like food, exercise, call family and friends, spend time.witj daughter).

I think you should start with what you want to do and put a time on it. See a therapist and I am not a therapist. I am sorry you are in this situation but good to identify problem and start working on it now. I honestly hope you guys work it out. As Jordan Peterson says, things take time and so if you need to develop certain habits or things be patient with both of you. If you go to therapist, there may be a questionnaire and it involves questions like what do you want financially, sexually (num…

If you deal with a narcissistic ex, you are tempted to give in. If you do not fight, it becomes the norm. You may think you can make it by giving in and giving her more money and stuff but it will never be enough. The system is against men so you have to push hard against her demands so it makes sense. Look at other porson who wrote he is going to do another 20K usd to fight. It costs money to get fairness. Do not be a pushy like I was. If you think divorce is costly, wait until you start financ…

Lol. Bitching? Nope. Discussing. It was the lack of discussion that ended me in this situation. I am looking at all my options. I have started speaking to 2 or 3 lawyers already. I am still working on promotion thing to see if I can push this off.

I was being told by everyone that this was the best outcome and doing anything would make it worse. I tried keeping up with the payments but after trying a few months it is challenging. I am scrapping by. For a while I thought I could put in extra hours and look at a promotion or so but no so easy. I thought of changing for better job and that is not so easy either. What made me sit up is part of the judgement that the payments will be adjusted for inflation and against forex or other stuff. Thi…

I really messed up on the attorney part and I also did not have that much information about ex-wife finances until things were filed and hearing had started. I asked about challenging and I was told by my own lawyer that in family court men are at disadvantage. I was told point blank that in Ghana I would not get custody because child was female. Looking back, I see I did not understand how law works at all or intricacies. I will have to prepare and get a better attorney. At this point, I want t…
