sigh I will get downvoted for this, but circumcision is fine. It's not mutilation. Just talk to him. Maybe you'll convince him, maybe he'll convince you. But neither of you will get very far if one of you sees it as "mutilation" and the other one sees it as a beneficial procedure.

Because their post pretty much demonizes male sexuality. They very strongly imply that stale old myth about men only wanting sex, and completely discount the possibility that men are actually out looking for sincere relationships.

What about the reasonable social expectation of privacy? If they aren't telling me that they're telling all their friends about all this stuff, I would have no idea that they are doing it, because that's just not something I could conceive of doing. What about when they tell everyone about me, but don't tell me that they have?

He literally is though. He is absolutely right wing.

A full half of these options are not left wing. (excepting of course that the unaffiliated could refer to an independent left wing party) It shouldn't be up to me to have to explain why liberalism is not left wing.

The draft is immoral, but not egregiously so. I think there are potential justifications for a draft, basically only in a defensive war. I don't foresee there ever being a geopolitical situation in our lifetimes that would actually necessitate such a thing, but I think having it available is a necessary deterrent. It's one of those rare lesser evil situations that is actually necessary to deal with, I think. But so long as there is a draft, it should be gender equal.

Either abolish the draft or make it gender equal. I obviously want the former, but I wouldn't argue against the latter.

Or can we stand together and fight corruption, sexism, and racism, and make this world a better place for everyone? Not when you support and defend a system that perpetuates all of those things. Liberals are not leftists, they are the enemies of the left. They are capitalists, which automatically excludes them from being considered members of the left. They stand against everything that the left is ultimately trying to achieve. They quite literally uphold the system. This is not infighting. This…

What have those rabble-rousers ever done for workers, except violence and destruction? I dunno, holding back fascism? Preventing the seizure of power by reactionaries? Working to improve the lives of marginalized communities? Handing out food to the homeless? Provided a deterrent against pogroms? Participated in organizing? You really have swallowed the fox news pill if you honestly think that antifa is "violence and destruction", or even a group. Antifa isn't an organization, it is nothing more…

Antifa isn't the labor movement, lol It's sure a helluva lot closer than a liberal. Nobody wants to kill you, lol. You're literally parroting right wing talking points right now.

Thank you for proving my point for me, I guess. This is exactly the sort of coopting I was talking about. You pivot immediately from "we just want welfare programs" to "evil antifa". This isn't left infighting, this is identifying a credible threat to the labor movement.

One doesn't have to completely disavow capitalism to be considered left wing. I rather disagree with that, as capitalism currently forms the core of right wing thought. Liberalism paints itself in left colors, but underneath, it is still very fundamentally regressive in nature. It still supports a class separation and hierarchy based on property ownership. The difference between liberals and neoliberals is one of degree, not substance, and the difference isn't that great. "Left liberalism" is ex…

Liberalism is the ideology of capitalism. In leftist spaces, when youy hear the word "liberal", it doesn't mean the "vaguely on the left" that it tends to mean within the rather stranger terminology of American politics. Liberalism, as it is meant in political science, is a fairly broad term to mean the ideology which supports government composed of representative republics with an economy centered around private property and the market. Despite the connotation within the terminology of American…

Warren is a fucking snake. There's no two ways about it, she's every bit an obstruction as any Manchin or Sinema. In a way, she's even more insidious, because she tricks baby leftists into being recuperated back into liberalism. She wraps herself in this thin veneer of progressivism and throws around a bunch of vaguely leftist rhetoric. But she member says "the 'C' word" and when the chips are down she never comes through. Her betrayal in 2016 was awful, but her absolute treachery in 2020 really…

You ever fight against patriarchy so hard that you end up supporting the patriarchy?

He could have a diverse investment portfolio with millions in the bank, or he could live paycheck to paycheck. Neither of those things have any bearing on whether or not he would be a good partner. This bitch outs herself as shallow, but I'm also not enthused with the reply still subtly implying that the romantic worth of a man should be tied to his income.

Go back to the MRA subs. Let's not let this place degrade into sexism and disgusting poor-shaming like this

Is she wrong though? And is he even right though? Seriously, why does this have upvotes? She's right, he's wrong. Mansplaining is a thing. Like, not always applicable to every time a man explains something. But it certainly happens. And Notch is a fucking neckbeard hobnob. His takes have been garbage for years, and this is no exception. Why does anybody care about his opinion?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
