Country music doesn't even cover what farmers do. Just talks about boots, trucks, and other subculture signals. The overwhelming majority of country fans know a little bit about yardwork and think that's farming.

The custody thing is pretty all over the place, tbh. For every case where custody is awarded to a woman without reasonable process there're like 3 cases where custody is awarded because the man didn't bother to go through the paperwork process. It's a clusterfuck all around.

During my first venture through college (2001-2005) I got to see firsthand some of the stats that were coming out in regard to both an increase in women hitting high academic achievements and a decrease in male enrollment in college. So yes, you are right; it's not surprising at all to see these numbers, and the short term projection will likely see the numbers increase.
