Hol up. So this is a trans woman. Are we sure by “treated her like a man” this isn’t referring to them literally misgendering her? The genders should be treated equally under the law but there’s a difference between treating someone equally to a man and treating someone AS a man. I haven’t been able to find a reliable article about this event or person, can anyone speak to this?

I can’t imagine what she’s going through. Losing (I imagine) a grandchild to your terrible child, then losing that child. I’m sure she had her resentments and understood the verdict was correct, but seeing the people who you tried to raise right end up in prison for life, RIGHTLY, for killing a child? that has to break a person.

Let’s NOT advocate for prison rape. It happens to a lot of people who are in for nonviolent crimes such as drug possession, and because of flippant attitudes toward it like your own, and because male rape is already thought of as a nonissue, it goes widely underprosecuted. Rape is not a just or productive part of the penal system. It does not teach, it does not better, it does not act as a deterrent for predators, and it does nothing to lessen the impact of the crimes they have already committed.…

Lol it reminds me of the Bo Burnham line For every dollar a man makes, a woman makes 70 cents That doesn’t make sense That’s not fair The mans only left with 30!

Especially since it probably didn’t attract most moderate feminists. Like i consider myself feminist, and this just isn’t even making a real statement, it’s not like other cafes have ever charged women more. Pink taxes exist but this would be a stupid way to protest them so what even are they trying to say other than “we’re commercializing your shadenfreud.”?

We could always do a Parents Day. Two benefits. 1. Not everyone is binary. 2. This way single parents and children of single parents don’t have to sit there like -____- on the opposite parents day.

People rape infants. Are they lying because they aren’t sexually attractive? I know you’re joking but the mentality of “ugly people are lying about rape” is a problem. We can discuss what a worthless cunt this woman is without discrediting all the stories of other people who actually were raped and get doubted because they’re not attractive

As discussed above, elderly people, children and infants, and mentally and physically disabled people are all raped at alarming rates. Rape isn’t about sex, it’s about hurting someone and gaining control. Fat, ugly people experience it too. That said, I’m glad this cunt is going to be put in the freezer like the bone in ham she is.

Contrary to popular belief most feminists also don’t want scum like this walking free, and understand that they exist. They’re a very small minority that creates a big problem for real victims by removing credibility and causing people to doubt real victims. The amount of feminists who are actually #believeallwomen totalists is fairly small in the face of feminists who believe we need a more comprehensive judicial response regarding sexual assault as a whole, including cracking down on false all…

Okay I know y’all are just going off about this evil person, but unattractive, elderly, mentally disabled, and other undesirable people are victims of sexual assault on a daily basis. Rape is about power and control, and you need to check the mentality you’ve got here of “only hot girls get raped, anyone else is lying!” Old people get raped by nursing home staff. Children get raped by pedophiles. Ugly fat people like this get raped by people who want to make them feel afraid.

Rape isn’t about sex. It’s about power. Making someone feel weak and scared and hopeless. That’s why elderly people get raped in nursing homes at an alarming rate by abusive staffers. This woman is a pig and I’m very glad she’s going to prison, but unattractive people are also victims of rape on a daily basis and if we start doubting actual victims claims based on their sexual attractiveness that becomes a problem. Edit: gender neutral language to be more accurate

And expressed that he wants people to leave her alone at this point and that she’s paid the price for her actions. Dude is a really good guy, you can tell.

Do you have an article discussing the nature of her crimes? I’m having trouble finding one, but 8 years can actually be a pretty standard sentence for say, lewd messaging, possession of child porn, etc, whereas say, sodomy of a child would carry a higher sentence. All this says is that she did this TO groom and abuse children. If she didn’t succeed in her goals, the sentence would reflect that in the current penal system. Edit: FOUND THE ARTICLE THIS BITCH SHOULD GET 25 AT LEAST

I mean, given the fact that she’s definitely looking for someone to caretake her and “treat her like a lady” (read: “pay for everything”) doubt she’s a feminist in anything but title, if that.

What makes that more honorable than prostitution? What makes finding a service that people desire and purveying that service for a profit dishonorable? It hurts no one and is a victimless act, it makes both parties satisfied, so where is the ethical dilemma with prostitution? Point it out to me.

Okay that’s not an ethical argument against it. Toss me one of those. An argument against prostitution that holds up under scrutiny. Men in third world countries dig through garbage and waste to find recyclables and build shelters. Really shows the true nature of men and what they’re willing to do.

One of those ways, by far the most popular way, is the trade of goods and gifts instead of money. And I’m for legalization of prostitution. There’s no real ethical argument against it

This is America, the Greatest country in the world(obligatory /s I fucking guess), and by god (end /s) I have the freedom to trade my vagina for streaming service credentials if I want to. That’s capitalism at its finest. 🦅 🇺🇸 💰(/s again) Edit: y’all satisfied? No one in this country actually fucking thinks we’re the greatest country in the world other than the far right. And they’re one of the arguments for why we’re not.

I mean also...I don’t hate the game. If you want to trade head for one of the devices on a subscription service you were already subscribing to/if you want to give head to be able to watch HSM: tM: tS, whose really being hurt here. Two consenting adults can trade streaming services for sexual favors. That’s capitalism 💰

Oh i dont disagree. I’d like the word to change, I think it’s needlessly exclusive, and gets tossed around so much it has become a meaningless buzzword. I just wanted to discuss the idea that the actual attitude under a lot of feminist sentiments is starting to change, which is a relief.

So, I occasionally browse this sub, as someone who is in flux between calling themselves a feminist and someone who is trying to move forward from the word, and most feminists with whom I associate no longer are trying to blame shift toxic masculinity solely to men. I’ve seen a pretty dramatic shift towards holding women and moreover, society/modern media, accountable as well. Not to say there isn’t still a far ways to go, but the movement is starting to shift further ahead than that, which has …

It baffles me how few men’s shelters there are. Y’all are relegated to regular homeless shelters among addicts and thieves (not saying all homeless folks are addicts and thieves, but enough of them in shelters are that it’s an unsafe environment), and you can’t even get your kids out of these situations. We need more men’s shelters NOW.

I mean, she’s just extremely fair when it comes to making sure that people don’t take advantage of prejudices in the legal system, and one of those is a prejudice towards fathers wanting partial or total custody. She’s also been amazing at dealing with prejudices against women who have taken “too long” to speak up about their abuse, for example, so it really does seem like she just cares about judging without prejudice

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
