It’s easier to neg than to improve oneself. It’s an immediate sign of insecurity and is actually great during the vetting process. People who are insecure in a toxic way can’t help themselves and will often neg others in the first meeting, it usually confirms their inferiority. I mean everyone is insecure about something but people who project their insecurities outward are repulsive af.

I realise men, in general, even if you are just friends have a tendency to take up a lot of emotional energy. Like they expect women to fill the void that their shallow male friendships have left.
