4	The Penis Mom I hear your arguments, and I agree that the author's reaction to the original post is a little incendiary. The reaction from the mailing list is exactly what you'd expect from that audience as well. However, it seems to me that the conclusion to the blog post is completely fair: men and women who expect equal treatment should suffer equally. 17	The Penis Mom Personally, I thought it was a well written and thoughtful article: woman wants equal rights/respect/thoughts involved with a traditionally male role, and is warning other women that if they want to be included in those traditionally male things, they have to be willing to take the bad with the good. 3	I'm now in my 8th month of an unplanned pregnancy and the father has informed me he no longer wants to be involved in the child's life. I'm so overwhelmed and confused I don't know what to do. He agreed to taking care of the kid. I'm all for parental rights on the man's side, and you apparently gave him the options we all hope we get when that time comes. You've got a hard choice: be that woman and legally wring the money out of him, or don't and suffer through a tough financial time with little options. 3	TO unemployed men who are married to employed women: Is divorce season upon us? Is it time to sign up for spousal support payments? What the hell? I agree that househusbands deserve the same treatment as housewives if the worst happens and a divorce is necessary. 3	I told my girlfriend I never want to get married. This isn't going over too well. Help me tell her why If she really wants to get married and you don't, then the goals of your relationship don't fit. If the two of you can't overcome that, then your relationship might not make it much further. Sucks, but it's the truth. If you're in a state that still supports common law marriages, you're out-of-luck anyway, really. However, the cynicism is going to be tough for many traditional-minded women to overcome, same as it's tough for most men to deal with estrogen-loving womyn feminists.
