How do you mean? This She-Hulk has had an on-going series since 2004. Do you think they were holding onto it for over a decade while it wasn't selling? As a fan of the character, the reason the book didn't do well after its new #1 this year (and name change to "HULK") is the writing. IMO Tamaki wrote a Shulkie that wasn't true to the Jennifer Walters that had come before -- which is not necessarily damning as that tends to happen with any character tackled by a new writer. The problem was she tr…

(The teacher) should’ve left it alone and nothing would’ve happened. I disagree with everyone who is saying this woman should be fired for the accidental distribution of a topless photo. Calling the police on those innocent students, however, is definitely an offense worth firing over.

DAE think that the "Adult Friend Finder" banner ad at the top of the page undermines the message of the site? One of the webmasters must be out of the loop as you can see from the following picture where the caption for "Asian Adult Friend Finder" is captioned with, "WTF!!!!"

He loves her too much to leave her? Isn't that a typical spousal abuse victim response? Goofy should really step in there. Or Scrooge.

Oh, good point! But there's a difference in that we can't assume for certain that the wives are in unhealthy relationships to begin with -- sure, most of them look it, but it's not necessarily our place to judge it without studying/seeing the spouses together in their own homes. When the wives are swapped and the new families and wives are shitty to each other, that's them being shitty human beings. We can accept it because it is for a finite amount of time. What's redeemable about wife swap is …

It's interesting... on the one hand, the name of the show is "Bridezillas." The producers know these women are being irrational: that's the central tenant of the show. So you could say that the show isn't endorsing the behavior, but instead, calling it out. On the other hand, these men are in abusive relationships -- and the show does nothing to stop them! Therefore, they are endorsing the behavior through non-intervention. I had an idea for a similar show where we explore domestic abuse; not wi…

That is what dog trainers refer to as positive reinforcement. :)

Marriage isn't a one-way street. I'm less concerned about using dog training techniques on people (becuase it can work), and more concerned that a show like this widens the rift between the sexes. If the men are willing to take part in a "documentary on relationship studies," what makes these women think they aren't up for open discourse?

Working Link Oh man that Joe Scarborough pisses me off so much. Here's a man who says, "We don't care about the prostate because it's attached to a dad," and he says it to mean that we really shouldn't care about dads. I had never heard of Dr. Nancy before, but today I'm a fan. Really, little is said in this video about prostate cancer (it would have been nice to mention the mortality rates of prostate vs. breast cancer), but it's great that Dr. Nancy brings up the following overlooked facts abo…

This. A young man should not be punished for something his grandfather did.

I concur. Even when it's something that seems vapid or silly -- like her show on fake breasts vs real breasts -- she still seems to get at important issues... or at least issues that are important to somebody, somewhere. For example, in the fake vs. real breasts show she had a doctor come on with a sonogram machine to prove her breasts were real. Not important to me, but hasn't been done before on daytime TV to my recollection and I'm sure somebody wanted to see that.

Hmm... that doesn't sound so bad, but I've been tricked like this before. I'm not a horror movie fan, but I've always been fascinated with Pinhead from Hellraiser. So one day, I decide to read the wikipedia entry for Hellraiser before deciding whether or not to watch the movie (Netflix). The story of Hellraiser is awesome! I found myself reading about each sequel on wikipedia and being more and more intrigued by this world. Unfortunately, I didn't realize that fans write most of the content for …

You didn't read the article. The woman doesn't give birth; the fetus is placed in an artificial womb. Now, you have a valid argument if you mean, "No one's going to force me to have the fetus surgically removed." Though, what's the real difference if you want an abortion in the first place?

To recognize that some women wrongly accuse men of rape is not anti-female, any more than recognizing that some men rape women is anti-male. Yes, good! That's exactly the way I need to start phrasing it. Some people don't seem to understand this.
