Sounds like a tragedy for everyone involved.

Of course it's simplistic. I'm not explaining history, I'm giving a reason people might say "the future is female." It's not an academic essay. It lacks nuance. It's a catchphrase, or rather a mirror of the "the future is female" catchphrase.

Raising up one part of the population isn't the same as shunning another part, though.

Modern men don't hold responsibility for their ancestors sins. At the same time, it's true that the sins of the past are not erased by the simple passage of time. The past leaves echoes everywhere. Your last sentence is a pretty big leap. We can acknowledge and address the wrongs of the past without anyone becoming "unable to control their anger." At least I hope so.

Perhaps “the future is male” is awkward because the past was male. Nearly all of it.

For starters, instead of using incendiary words like "feminists we hate," can we instead use more nuanced language, like "oppose", "disagree with," "take issue with", "stand against," "diverge with," or something similar? I suuport men's rights, but I don't hate anybody.

Female leaders have more to prove, maybe?

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
