Um, he literally says "I just can't help but notice this pattern." I'm not assuming it's a pattern, he says it himself. If you notice a pattern of women treating you like you are not a person with emotions or like they don't give a fuck about you (these are the things OP said, I'm not assuming these things) then you should perhaps ask why women are treating you like that. It's super incel behavior (as other commenters have noticed as well) to make these gross generalizations about women. Yeah, m…

I didn't assume shit. I took a guess. Women don't ghost dudes they are into. OP says this is a pattern for him which means he needs to look at why. It's super weird to jump straight to generalizing that all women are bad and hate men because you have a pattern of bad luck with women. It's kind of like that old saying that if everyone is an asshole, then you're the asshole. If every woman you have dealt with in your life is horrible and doesn't consider you a person, then maybe there is something…

It sounds like she agreed to meet you somewhere else to get rid of you. I have no idea about your approach but she might have just agreed because she was uncomfortable and felt like you wouldn't take a regular no. From the tone of this post it seems like you don't have a lot of respect for women and have a lot of anger towards them. I am guessing she got these vibes from you and thought of the safest way to get you to leave her alone in that moment. Some men get scary or violent when a woman tur…

Don't call her later. Leave her alone. Your behavior and thought process is not ok. She doesn't have to justify why she doesn't want to go out with you. She said no. No means no. She gave you excuses because you didn't take no for an answer. Your strange anger response to being told no is worrisome. People with healthy emotional maturity do not get angry because another person chooses to live their life how they want. She doesn't owe you a date or any of her time. Until you understand that you s…

You don't have to be white to hate on black people. And I think the issue is people are mixing up preferences and standards. She's framing his preference for white women as having high standards. Interesting that Black women keep pointing this out and our concern is dismissed and somehow we're all wrong.

Why is calling out racism inflammatory but making a post saying that a man has high standards for not wanting to date a Black woman awarded and upvoted?

Thank you. Just when Reddit starts to piss me off, there's always a decent human that cheers me up. I'm glad to see Black women in here speaking truth, even if we're the only ones willing to.

Ok thank you. I was starting to feel crazy with everyone ignoring this and just applauding this post. Dating a black woman is not having low standards. Dating a chubby woman is not lowering your standards. Apparently everyone else is on board with OPs thinking because I had to scroll way down to find this being called out. Guess it's time to get outta this sub 'cause my high value ass doesn't need being talked down to like that.

I was being kind of bratty since the "high standards" of the guy in OP was not chubby and not Black. I don't consider these things standards, wanting a Caucasian woman isn't having "high standards," it's a preference of what you're attracted to. I'm chubby and Black and high-value as fuck. I'm also in Europe right now and these guys here got me feeling like a Queen!

Yeah, apparently we are not part of their "high standards." If you're chubby AND Black, whew.

I have a problem doing this in every kind of relationship. I've recognized it recently and cut off a so-called "friend" after letting him use me for a year. I'm overly generous with others but next year I'm going to work on being overly generous with myself.

Can I offer my point of view as a lady? I honestly don't have my phone on me all day. And when I do have it, I might be busy in the middle of something, see a text, and not respond right away because I don't have the time. I've found thast even if I take a sec to respond, I might not have time for a whole back and forth so I wait until I do have that kind of time. If I don't know you, I'm especially not rushing to answer. Strangers are not my priority, no matter how cute I think you are. Go ahea…

I worked with elderly people and the difference between men and women who's partners passed was huge. The women were active, sharp, and happy. They had book clubs and did volunteer work. The men often needed someone to literally wipe their ass for them. They couldn't take care of themselves in the most basic way and often declined very quickly.

I read somewhere once that during the Victorian era there was a kind of "crisis of masculinity" where mid/upper class men weren't doing so much physical labor or exercise and growing a lumberjack-style beard was a way for them to feel manly. I personally sometimes like a VERY well kept beard on a man but it has to be so clean and trimmed. I have a male friend that has a kind of goatee and he grosses me out every time he eats because he walks away from the meal with food and sauce all crusted up …
