so are you going to answer the question or?

would you be singing this tune if someone said all women are gold diggers, or whores? because if there’s a woman out there who doesn’t fit those descriptors, she has no reason to be offended or frustrated?

i definitely don’t agree with dehumanizing anyone, but i do agree that it’s best to be (relatively) aggressive with how we address those behaviors.

i’ve been told that many times and recently i started asking “is that supposed to be a compliment?” to be honest it feels the same as being told “you’re attractive / handsome for a black guy”, something i’ve also been told and something that is, no lie, incredibly disrespectful to say.

looking for “fault” doesn’t do anything besides hold us back. we’re moving forward bro, you gotta get with the program

yeah dude you’re not getting anywhere reducing a nuanced view to “simping bullshit”. toxic nonsense like this is what ultimately sets us back.

you can be against the bs that a lot of feminists/women say and still advocate for their rights. women being toxic isn’t an excuse for them losing basic human rights.

This isn’t true.

Really bothers me to be honest. I don’t understand why it requires a minority of men being affected negatively for men’s issues to be taken seriously.

I did appreciate her not making excuses for it, because i often see that when these thinkpieces are posted

For real. I’m the emotional anchor for nearly every woman in my life that’s not my mom or my aunt. God forbid i point that out though.

I try to be willing to be positive on / have productive conversations on r/MensLib, but when it constantly feels like a space to discuss men's issues in the frame of how it really affects women, it honestly just frustrates me.

It’s called being in touch with reality. You should try it some time

It’s not, and if you’re going to use your experience on a website to generalize a group of people, you probably shouldn’t be dating anyone.

Can you, at least as a mind experiment, understand that the biological imperative of a sex that needs to enjoy sex for the reproduction of the species (the males need to orgasm for the species to reproduce) is not the same as the one for the sex that needs to be taken care of for the reproduction of the species? stop right there. There are multiple imperatives to consider as a human being, not just the biological.

We can't say it out loud in public, so we have to say it here. Speak for yourself please. I’m a man and i think 8/10 of you dudes that post here are fucking pathetic.

Leading means solving problems for someone else when they should be solving it themselves. No.

Here we go with this Alpha/beta BS Most mature adult women are attracted by dudes that they can connect to and with whom they share mutual respect - sexual interest follows. Period. This picture you’re painting reflects that of high school dynamics, where literally everyone acts stupid to get attention and no one knows what they want out of life, much less out of each other.

How does that justify staring at someone and making them uncomfortable?

it's both exceptionally arrogant and exceptionally stupid to assume you know the motivations and character of a person because they LOOKED at you. it’s very obvious that you’re not reading what’s being said, because on multiple occasions they made the distinction between checking someone out and full on staring. You are projecting nefarious motivations on to him because you don't think he's worthy to look at you. Funny how you criticize projection when you literally did the same thing in the sam…

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
