If the symptoms are dropped to a common cold level transmission isn't really much of an issue is it. Unless you're unvaccinated, hence the encouragement to get the vaccine. how does her being vaccinated protect the other staff and students? You are much less likely to show symptoms even if you catch it. If there was a pill that halves the lethality of cancer, assuming there's no side effects, would you not take it even though you don't have cancer and the likelihood of getting it is statically slim?

One this person is supposed to be very educated and she fails on that front spewing debunked stuff that, if one educated themselves on the topic would know that Nothing about that is her using her gender as a advantage Second, this person is an ETHICS professor.
