Does the author realize there is domestic abuse among gay and lesbian couples as well? How would Jenna Birch suggest those matters ought to be taken care of? Should domestic abuse not be punished among gay couples because they're both men? Is the physically smaller man immune from the law when he beats his husband? If it's the latter, should we measure size by weight or volume? Please, Jenna, tell us. We urgently need to know which abusers shouldn't be punished!

But if a woman gets hit, she'll fight back. No, victims of domestic violence don't always act in self defense. They are abused both physically and psychologically and are not as likely to fight back as they are to blame themselves. It's a tragic situation, but what needs to be addressed is that it affects just as many men as women, and neither group can be blamed for not retaliating. The rest of your points are accurate though, you got my upvote.

Considering the people working on the project match the demographics of Toronto almost perfectly I'd say any more than that. Of course, that is with the exception of gender, which will still probably be disproportionately high for men once the jobs fill out. I'm just a little more concerned about false rape charges and child support scandals than I am about a workforce in Toronto being made up of demographics matching that of the workforce of Toronto.

Surprisingly, the center for constitutional rights actually does say that 75% of people convicted in Louisiana for the Crimes Against Nature law are women. CCR seems like a valid source to me, but is that actually true? Are similar statistics true for other states? If they are I'll have to seriously rethink my stance on a lot of topic brought up on this subreddit. Please help me figure this stuff out!

Just those articles about issues that are overlooked on many feminist forums. For the record, StumbleUpon isn't like Reddit or a forum, the community exists mainly through comment-less link sharing. By adding these sites to the StumbleUpon database tagged as 'feminism' I'm effectively just showing the articles to those who have added feminism as an 'interest' of theirs. Also, for the record, there is no equivalent of "men's rights" in their list of interests.

The UK cannot sentence a minor to life imprisonment, in fact such a sentence can only be given to someone 21 years of age or older. The United States is one of the few countries world wide that can still order sentences like this for minors, which is a topic that should be discussed elsewhere. I'm sure it was posted here because the (extremely misleading) article makes it seem that she was given a significantly reduced sentence in comparison to the man. I can't speak for the poster, but I imagine it was posted as a response to the British government's justice system as it was portrayed here as sexist, misandrist, and sensationally lenient. Had it been a lesbian couple who she and her boyfriend had brutally attacked and killed, and the same mistake had been made regarding the severity …
