It sounds like a movie cliche, but learning the art of mastering your anger will be a powerful asset in life. Sadness is much harder to turn into something productive because it is often accompanied by a lack or loss of passion, whereas anger is usually accompanied by strong passion. That passion will either burn out and turn into sadness if you can't stoke it, or consume you from the inside if it gets out of control. As an example, my ex broke up with me after cheating on me.
