2	Dating apps are bullshit My parents are premarital counselors. They said these days more than half of their couples meet on dating apps. And that they have noticed the app couples tend to be better fits than the ones that meet “organically.” Ironically one of the biggest concerns for these couples is how they are viewed by friends and family who discount apps as a viable way to meet an SO. 48	A Fix for conversations “drying up” I’ve had a lot of luck with the “last-minute invite”. Almost immediately after matching (sometimes even as my open), I’ll say something like... “Hey I know it’s super last minute but I’m checking out the new exhibit at x museum tonight. You want to join me?” They almost never say yes. But that’s not the point. More than half them time, they suggest alternate plans.
