Yea especially when you can be anonymous and part of a group that is hating on a specific person, there is less remorse. People will go straight for the jugular. Didn’t that kid that won the fortnite championship just get swatted?

I think there are some studies showing men tend to have better visual/audio reaction times which plays into that. Also, parts (I said parts, people. Don’t jump down my throat) of the gaming community are extremely toxic and will shit all over a female gamer. There was that one girl who was like 15 and played a very unpopular, bad character on smash (I think. I don’t play that game so I’m not super familiar), and beat one of the best pros out there. She ended up quitting because of all the hate a…

Yes she absolutely did say it.

I’ll look for source, but she jokingly calls one of her viewers a “nggr”. I’ll try to find the link

Yea, teaching your kids is a great idea. But odds are, this girl will probably be bullied because of this. Instead of taking her phone away and handling this internally within the family, they decided to broadcast it to the world where it will follow her around forever.

Exactly. This is how to make your kids resent you. And it’s something that might follow her for years in social circles

I’m in no way taking her side, but it’s not that simple. Usually to get a charge proven guilty, you have to have specific proof. You can’t pull a cat out of a shallow grave and immediately prove that it was abused. For all you know, that cat was treated fine and died of natural causes. I’m not saying she shouldn’t be punished, but it’s better that we don’t live in a society where it’s a simple “64 dead cats=64 counts”

I remember it being posted all over the place a while back. I can’t find it but I’m going to look around

I understand where you’re coming from. One of my best friends since I was a child was drunk at a party in September 2014. 22 at the time. Didn’t want to drive home drunk so he walked. Crossed a street in the dark and an elderly lady hit him around 45mph (the speed limit) and he was in a coma until he passed that April. She wasn’t charged with anything, and rightfully so. And although I love Steven, it was a poorly lit area at night. Sometimes you don’t get justice and you have to live with that

Yea there are a lot of details left out of this. It was proven that it wasn’t distracted driving. The family was not in a crosswalk. This is tragic. And maybe for involuntary manslaughter there should be a bigger punishment than what she got, but this isn’t as simple as it seems.

I know it was called the Philly Offensive on Facebook. I don’t know if it still exists.

It looks like their charges are different. The two men plead guilty to the kidnapping charge. Does that charge carry a much harsher sentence?

When I was a kid my parents got divorced and I hated staying at my dads. I cried every time my mom dropped me off. My dad was a really nice guy, I just didn’t have fun at his house. Does this mean he was an abuser? The kids reaction should raise suspicion. No doubt. But it isn’t proof of anything.

I’m wondering if anyone upvoting this will take a moment to read the article u/puffie300 posted in another comment here. I’m not necessarily taking a side here, but it’s so common for people to jump on a bandwagon without the full story. It feels like Kony 2012 again. The father had a few criminal charges in just the last few years, and there’s a good amount of evidence to at least bring up suspicion that this might be some bullshit from him. Again, not taking sides or saying he’s a saint or the…

Surely there can be some sort of amendment or alteration to make something like this punishable, right?

Let me ask a pretty blunt question: would you rather be raped or killed? Because that’s what we’re talking about in this thread. Murder is absolutely worse than rape. That doesn’t minimize the horrible nature of rape. But murder is still worse
/r/PussyPass05/09/18 08:19 PM

Exactly. Being raped is horrible, but at least you have a chance to live a normal, happy life after. Even if it’s a slim chance. If you are dead, that’s it. Murder and rape should never ever ever be treated the same. Murder is far worse

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
