Is there really so much of a distinction between any organization with power that wants to control you? The only distinction between a powerful corporation, a mob, or the government is law, which is just a collection of words that most of us agree to agree to. A (democratic) government is MORE likely to follow the rule of law as it's primarily an organization with power that is given by that law, at least initially.

I'll just mention de facto vs de jure rule, and the Ludlow Massacre, among others.

Ah, back to r/libertarian for you! Companies become governments given enough power, by the way.

Unfortunately, welfare and social security are plans that basically require the population to continuously grow to pay for them.

Even that is misleading. You own body kills thousands of "human life" cells every day.

Except while married the court kind of considers the couple as one person and all money/property gained is "community property" which is owned by both parties. In my state, they make a distinction between property and money each party had before marriage and the propery/money gained during marriage.

Well I'm someone who kind of grew out of being interested in casual sex or "sex for the sake of having sex" so you can probably intuit why I'd not be interested in "easy girls" while I'm looking for a relationship.

Some people just want to get laid or find love or whatever. Others want to feel validated in the process: "I'd rather be one in a million than one of a million."

I don't think I really thought about it. I think I just made friends with them just like you would with guy friends. Eventually they would realize I'm rather nice and charming and sometimes a mutual or single sided attraction would develop. I've never really pursued random strangers except once when I tried the online dating thing. So I probably "displayed high value" to these female friends via my personality I guess. I also think you underestimate the "friend zone." I've had girls that weren't…

I don't really believe in the friend zone. Maybe for the first year or so. But eventually all of my close female friends ended up liking me even if I wasn't trying to get with them.

I thought seddit was about picking up women for a potential relationship, not about just getting laid. That's what prostitutes are for. I mean if all of you guys are seriously learning all this stuff just to get laid...wow. That's like psychopathy right there. Random casual sex isn't THAT awesome...seems like a lot of work and a lot of not caring about other peoples' feelings just to get your dick wet. I much rather like to think of seddit as a forum to help people learn how to socialize with wo…

OP didn't say all that until after I asked, and I'm thinking you're overestimating a victim's ability to gather all that information in such a short and traumatic experience.

Ok let me put it this way. I think the timing is VERY important. Why? Because she's talking to the cops right now. That means she needs to be as accurate as possible. Before she clarified when I asked my simple question here was what she said: 1) Didn't see attacker. 2) Didn't hear attacker. 3) Therefore she didn't have any obvious way to identify anything about attacker. 4) Told cops it was a man. My question had nothing WHATSOEVER to do with the "but what about men game?" even if all the defen…

I think it should just be equal time for equal crime. If a the cops can overlook a guy getting a little physical just as much as a girl getting a little physical, fine. That's not how it works now, sadly.

She said that after I asked her. Her original post just said the attacker didn't say anything and she didn't see the person. After she clarified I basically said Ah, I agree Thanks. Everyone else jumped onto my case. It went downhill from there.

I agree. I'm finding rational and objective discourse in that thread nearly impossible. I wasn't even accusing OP of being wrong, lol. I'm done in there and I've learned my lesson to only lurk in 2X, especially when someone is a victim of something.

How is domestic abuse not important again? I missed that one.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
