Had a nearly identical experience in the US. Three out of the five places I called were flatly dismissive. Fucking this. I was a teacher a few years ago, and young men and boys (I had students from age 10 to 19) are absolutely picking up on this culture of dismissal and hate. So are their female peers, and many of them are emulating the behavior they see. This kind of shit is much more harmful than most people realize.
