If its as low as 1%, thats still 100x higher, based on FBI's criminal statistics (0.01%). 600,000 bears in north america. 4 fatalities a year. 0.00066667% So yeah. Bears less dangerous. Thanks for using statistics proportional to the population so that we can see men are as dangerous as bears to women. If we want to be even more specific. There has been 16 fatal bear attacks in north america since 2020. There is roughly 600,000 bears. Even if all 16 of those fatalities were last year it would be a 0.002% rate. My experience with wildfire shows about 30% of wildland fire fighters are female. So if its a widlfire evacuation that isnt accurate. Also ski patrol tends to be 50/50 so if youre lost on the mountain thats not accurate. And search and rescue crews are pretty mucb 50/50 civilian and professional. In fact, there's a chance that random man would know survival skills, like why following a stream is a good idea to get out of the woods.
