I mean I did say “diverse group of people”. You can still make friends with that crowd and develop genuine connections along with being introduced to women they’re friends with.

Develop hobbies that include a diverse group of people so like climbing/bouldering, dodgeball, cooking classes, dance classes, yoga etc.

My friends from grad school from the valley definitely deep connections. I’ve also had great connections with an LA foodie group I joined who are mostly in the DTLA general area too. It’s hard to say though bc Covid has obviously made socializing weird bc of social distancing of course. I can’t imagine it’s helped right?

Oh I think I know what you mean yeah I get that. I definitely get the dilemma when trying to be non threatening when you realize you’re in an area alone with women so they don’t feel uncomfortable bc unfortunately many women have a lifetime of being harassed by creepy or dangerous men. I’ve personally found that just being social with people, especially men, and kind of ignoring women ( but talking to them when they initiate conversations) has been my go to. I think being social is insanely unde…

I kind of do want to ask you how you know now haha.

Hey would you mind explaining what you mean by “people expect the worst so…most potential dating situations are front loaded on the negative side.”? Apologies if it’s a dumb question! I’ve only done OLD here and the Valley isn’t great for that. Covid has kind of put a pause on dating since it’s harder to chat with people bc of social distancing personally.

I live in LA after living outside the city most of my life. I find the people of LA incredibly friendly and talkative. You haven’t found success talking with people out here? I’m in the Valley where people seem even friendlier bc there’s a large middle eastern population here.

Thanks for sharing your insight. Have you found that specific dance genres are more inclined or less inclined to dance with whoever shows up?

Partner dance as in finding someone to go with you or classes that specialize in partnered dancing where people partner up on the spot? Thanks!

Agreed, and patience making friends with people is super important. Definitely don’t want to force friendships with people and risk making them uncomfortable.

This exact sentiment OP. Make friends with peoples friends naturally and your network of friendships will grow. In time you may meet someone organically this way who you have genuine chemistry with.

As much as I loathe CrossFit culture... CrossFit seems like a solid place to meet men and women. Otherwise I’d recommend volunteering at a humane society or local animal rescue. Obviously it goes without saying you shouldn’t have the mindset of “I want to meet women!” Doing these things. Do them so they give you a more well rounded life/quality of life and meeting people will come naturally with it and won’t make people uncomfortable by being to forceful meeting them.

You can kill a man, but you can't kill an idea.
