What a personality-type study in adults doesn’t show is whether those differences are innate to gender or socialised - I’d argue that gender differences are much harder to determine (good old nature/nurture) but there is lots of evidence to suggest that it’s socialised. Yes, feminism addresses the problems that women particularly face, but I see part of that as deconstructing ideas that have been held for years about women (I.e that we’re more naturally nurturing and therefore better at caring jobs/being parents) which opens up doors for both genders to then be more free - (i.e for men to feel free/encouraged to work in caring professions and for custody battles to be fairer) | /r/MensRights | 09/05/20 12:00 PM |

I’m a feminist, and joined this group to find out more about men’s rights and learn a bit about different viewpoints and where they come from. I agree that men’s rights and feminism are not that opposed!
