...People who don’t believe women when they call out harassment. Could be male or female. And just because it’s talking about women being harassed, doesn’t mean it’s denying it happens to men.

Ah. So maybe this is where our view points differ. What a personality-type study in adults doesn’t show is whether those differences are innate to gender or socialised - I’d argue that gender differences are much harder to determine (good old nature/nurture) but there is lots of evidence to suggest that it’s socialised. A famous study showed that adults are much rougher with babies in blue baby gros than babies in pink baby gros - and even talk to them and about them differently, suggesting that…

I don’t think it’s quite that simple. Yes, feminism addresses the problems that women particularly face, but I see part of that as deconstructing ideas that have been held for years about women (I.e that we’re more naturally nurturing and therefore better at caring jobs/being parents) which opens up doors for both genders to then be more free - (i.e for men to feel free/encouraged to work in caring professions and for custody battles to be fairer)

This is great. I’m a feminist, and joined this group to find out more about men’s rights and learn a bit about different viewpoints and where they come from. I agree that men’s rights and feminism are not that opposed! Most feminists I know believe that equal rights for women will make a better world for everybody, but their key focus is on improving women’s lot.
